I bought this tent because I wanted something sturdy and windproof to handle the cold weather when winter overlanding through Death Valley and Mojave. The stitching and material are higher quality than I expected. The tent spikes are 7 in long and 3 rib metal which is better quality than you get with most tents. Everything was stitched very well and seem tape sealed without flaws. There are plenty of tie down locations and decent ventilation flaps on top for when you want it. The rain cover has velcro tabs on the inside to attach it to the poles for extra stability. I haven't had a chance to test it camping overnight but I am confident this tent will hold up well in the rain, wind and cold. The cover is thick enough to keep the warmth in and it goes all the way to the ground where you can spike it down to keep out crosswind. To lay four people in it they would have to snuggle closely but definitely a 1 - 3 max person tent. One person plus room for plenty of gear or two plus gear would be ok, three people you probably have to keep most the gear outside. It's not too heavy and it rolls up to about a 15 x 7 inch sack. One could definitely carry it back packing if you knew you were going into cold weather and we're just doing a hunting or fishing Basecamp. But it is definitely not an ultra-light tent for long distance or summer camping tent. The tent would be literally perfect if the spikes were 9 inches. In the sand or rocky terrain 7 inch spikes are too short. You need at least 9 to12 inch spikes to hold ground and still have enough on the surface keep the footings held down. Also If the velcro on the top vents went all the way across the vent opening allowing you to completely seal it down, this would be great. In a strong cold wind I like to seal up the side of the vent that faces the wind keep cold air from being pushed in. Follow up: 11/29/23: I've used this tent several times now in Nevada, Death Valley, and the Sierra's during the colder months. Temps down in the 20s with stiff winds. The tent has done very well. I've used several tents and have many. This tent is my go to tent now in the winter. Update: 10/9/25 still using this Tent without any issues. Zippers still work better than most. No holes or tears. Just spent several days hunting in the mountains north of Tonapah and woke up every morning with the tent covered in frost. Added a picture.

Easy to build and take down. We used it on a hot July and the ventilation was pretty good. easy to fit in a car or carry. Actually water proof we did buy a tarp separately to put underneath it just incase

NOT 4 SEASON, I suggest, 1and 2 season. camped about in 30° to 40°f mornings and about the same at nights, at the end of September, so the beginning of fall, in Arizona high country, at an altitude of 7,505 ft. We woke up freezing, to much mesh, the breeze was blowing in from mesh doors, even with the vestibules zipped. But we made due, because it was our only tent. We ended up, just using one door, and collapsing the other vestibule, so one side would just act as a wall. Lowered the rainfly to the first eyelet so it was closer to the floor, used light rocks, to keep the other vestibule closed, and lined the 2 side of the tent with lots of pine needles, and grass. It was a bit better, but not by much, the mesh doors, and the whole top being so much mesh, allowed for way to much airflow, deeming it, not made for more than 2 season. If the inner poly walls, were a bit higher and the 2 inner tent doors were of the same poly material, and of equal height, this would be the perfect 3 season tent. 2 PERSONS MAX, and a dog and we were cramped. DOES NOT FIT A QUEEN BED. It is a pretty sturdy little tent though, Thick floor, sitting room only. I bought the tent because of all the positive reviews. It's a great tent, if you're not camping real cold, and want a quick set up, took about 5-10 minutes to set up. I know my camping area, and with all the reviews thought it would be great, for the high altitude cold, It was not. So. 1. Not a 4 season, 2 season perfect 2. Won't fit a queen air mattress, full size possibly. 3. Made for more, mat type sleeping, hiking air mats. 3. Decent size vestibules. 4. Light weight.

I bought this tent used and it did not have stakes or tensioners so I bought some heavy duty stakes and tensioners. One of the grommets was missing, too, but that didn't bother me. I am 67 and it was easy to set up and take down by myself. I needed a tent that would withstand rain and wind as I was going on a 5 day river trip down the Main Salmon in late August. The first 2 days of the trip it rained nonstop and the tent kept my gear dry. I loved the rain fly. I used 9 guy lines to keep it away from the tent and in case of wind (which never happened). I was able to sleep comfortably with my gear in the tent. It is not really a 3 person tent unless it's 3 children? It was perfect for me and my gear or two people and limited gear. BUT, you can put gear outside each door (vestibule) and still be under the rain fly. By the end of the trip I didn't use the rain fly and loved how open the tent was. You could almost see the stars through the mesh. Ventilation was good. It was a great value and functioned perfectly.
