These aircraft are really well constructed and can take crash after crash with little to no damage - no, seriously. The spitfire is a beauty and doesn’t suffer from the adverse yaw effect some of the other models do. Does not like to fly slow. Tons of power and a very healthy flight time. Very pleased with my purchases. Scratched the itch. Seeing as a lot of these planes are grouped under the same review page, I’d like to offer my opinions on the several I own. The blue and white p-51 was a little tricky at first, but flies very well. Looks very scale in the air. Check your wing after a few good crashes, like mine the glue might fail and start to detach! The Corsair was definitely the trouble child. Without stabilization it was nearly impossible to fly. The CG was in the correct place, but ultimately I had to add a nickel to the nose to make it fly great! The Mitsubishi zero offs by far the best of the series. It flies so well right off the bat. Nothing aerodynamically surprising like a few of the others. Best all around. The BF-109 was hard to fly at first. At low speeds it had severe adverse yaw effects, and requires full throttle and right rudder on takeoff . Once sufficient air is flowing around it, it smooths out quite nicely. Flies a lot like the bigger models! Review: Rugged. Beginners safe mode. - I’d received a plane that had, clearly, been returned by someone who’d kept the batteries, charger and propellers. desertcart made good, tho’. It’s a wonderful park flyer. I’m getting four minute flights on a battery. Having the beginner’s safe mode makes it a wonderful introduction to RC and its survived a few crashes with very little damage. The propellers pop off in a collision and I’ve lost more than broken. The weak link is the battery compartment and hatch; the battery is a hard fit- literally stuffing it- with its cable- into the compartment below the nose, and the cover must be forced to latch. I’ve already broken mine. No “return to base”function. *by B***N on October 4, 2023* Great little plane, I suck at flying it, but man is it fun. This has been a blast to learn with, I’ve crashed like 75 times now. Great entry level price for turnkey ready to fly planes. A big seller for me was the 3 skill level switches for beginner, Midd & Expert. (I’ve tried expert 2x and both ended with high speed nose dive exploding the propeller upon meeting the ground) I’ve had to use a bit of gorilla glue ad Q-tips to glue the damage I’ve caused by full speed skydives/ smacking into street lights and learning to land. (Haven’t hit a car/ house yet) After about 6 hours of flight time, I got a Buck cocky and thought I’d see how high I can fly it. Managed to get a hundred or so feet high and kinda lost direction of which way it was heading.. couldn’t recover which way it was heading, a strong gust of wind came along and took my lil P51 on side quest. After losing hope of recovering my flight, I hit the kill switch and watched the plane coast long out of my line of site.. if I ever find it(pretty sure it landed in the lake a few hundred yards away) I’ll have 2 planes.. a few of my neighbors have watched me flying and got these planes for themselves. We plan of having neighborhood dogfights (with the planes okay, relax) to set up the neighborhood hierarchy.
