Do not buy this bed
When I first got this bed, I was mildly disappointed. It came with several nicks and chips, but not in obvious places so I let it go. More annoying, it squeaked when you got in or out or moved more than simply rolling over. Again, not major and certainly not enough to earn it one star. Then the real problems began. In less than a year the bed started to sag in the middle and I noticed screws coming loose in the slats. My husband replaced the screws with longer ones and added screws to all of them - only a few slats had them originally. Problem solved and the bed stopped squeaking. Then, last night - only a little more than a year after purchasing - my husband got into bed and landed on the floor! The support that holds the slats on his side broke off. He weighs around 160 pounds, so it's not like he put excessive strain on the frame. I weigh more than that and my side held. When he looked at the damage, he saw that the screws were barely long enough to bite into the frame and the wood is damaged. Now we need to find a way to fix it or throw it out. It's a pretty bed and I love the storage, but it is a cheap piece of trash. Spend the extra money for better quality. I wish I had.

Once assembled it is a nice bed frame.
If you are lucky enough to live close enough to pick it up yourself. If you have to opt for shipping BE Careful! boards were broken parts were dented, screws had come unscrewed. Thankfully i'm good with my hands and I am able to make slight repairs in order to put the bed together fully. I like the cherry color. I like the compliment of drawers other that the 2 at the foot of the bed. Some people walk up to the bed and think their feet are going to go under it and bang their toes.

Deducted point for missing instructions but worth every penny!
Most reviews are for damage caused during SHIPPING which is the WRONG AREA for those types of reviews. This is a PRODUCT REVIEWAnyways, lol, the bed is real wood mostly, made well and sturdy. Luckily mine arrived with just a tiny bit of damage on a corner that is not noticeable. It was missing instructions that caused a little headache when putting together but anyone who has played with Legos as a child (or adult) or has put together a basic tv stand or wall unit can put this together. I would recommend at least 2 (TWO) people for this but it could be completed by one person but with some struggle and hardship.Over all for the price it is perfect. Its been 2 weeks since I put it together and I'm a 220 pound 6 foot male with a queen size bed and this bed frame has not made a noise! I don't roll around hard or jump around on it though so please dont try any hard movements because just like anything else it will eventually break down if treated rough but during normal use for a single person it feels great!I do agree that the slats under the mattress are a little thin but included is several "vertical" supports that support the slatted supports. These have built in adjustable stabilizers that strengthen the slats by preventing up/down movement. These need to be properly twisted in or out so that the bottom is firmly planted on the floor with no space underneath. If done properly it eliminates the majority of sag and movement. Sadly I would like to install thicker slats made of aluminum (compared to particle board which is horrible for this type of up/ down force) which would make this bed frame PERFECT!I deducted a point for the missing instructions but over all I recommend this bed frame for under 1000$ OH and please excuse my messy room. You can't imagine how much space a little 20 pound Boston Terrier occupies Haha

Beautiful bed
I bought this bed for my son. It really is nice looking and seems sturdy. My only complaint is the slats. They should be sturdier and maybe have another leg on the bottom. We got plywood and attached that so it seems much better.

Taking too long for refund
The whole shipment (3 Boxes) came in bad condition. The very first box contained the headboard which was badly damaged and showed that this bed was of poor quality since everything was pressed wood. Therefore the other 2 boxes were not even opened. Trucking company kept delaying pick up date. Now the wait to get a refund from Amazon is taking forever. Not a happy customer!!!
