Does its job
A bit more expensive than some but worth it. It is well made, fully adjustable and comfortable to wear. It is also effective in doing its job and holding in my recently diagnosed hernia. The pad is quite big but not noticeable under a loose tee shirt and you don't have to use it. A good buy. I would recommend it if you have a hernia problem.

A support that works!
Having bought a number of different supports over the last couple of years, I always found them to be either uncomfortable, or not enough support etc. I bought this one because it has a much wider belt which I thought would give greater support - I was right, it’s both more comfortable and doesn’t ‘dig in’ due to the wider belt, and holds the hernia in place comfortably. The strap which goes from the back of the belt and under your groin passes through a buckle on the pad at the front which also makes for a firmer and more secure fastening, which also adds to the comfort and firm support this appliance supplies. I have worn this all day and I have to say it is the best one yet, and allows me to get on with things that I would otherwise be unable to do without the support it provides. Highly recommended!

Quality, great support and value for money
Needing a support that I can use for some time as I can't have an op yet for other medical reasons I tried another brand that didn't provide adequate support or stay in place due to low-quality Velcro, I ordered an ORTONYX hernia belt and have to say it is excellent quality and stays securely in place all day long. The only slight criticism I have is that the removable compression pad is a bit thicker than necessary and creates a significant bulge and can make it difficult to fasten a belt on your trousers. I certainly would highly recommend it for quality and value for money.

Not completely satisfied
I found the belt uncomfortable to wear. They pad supplied is awkward to place in the correct position. The belt around the waist is fine but the part that loops under the groin to hold the pad in a lower position is to thin and unless your are wearing jockey briefs with a longish leg the under belt chaffs the inside of your leg causing soreness. Upon reflection I think that this belt is not designed to be used on lower hernia's but if it was meant for this then it is poorly designed. Thank you

Inguinal Hernia Support
Well constructed, comfortable and easy to put on and wear. Gives definite support and pain rejoef from hernia issues. Maybe one drawback is that it can mask the hernia pain and encourages more activity than usual in such a condition. However, it definitely does give relief till medical intervention can be given. Hoping it helps post op too.

Varying quality.
I bought my first hernia belt and was very pleased with the fit, comfort and effectiveness. Based on this I decided to purchase a second as a 'spare' whilst cleaning the first item. Unfortunately the stitching on second belt has started to tear after only a couple of uses. I did not notice this until after the return window had closed.

Excellent product
Since I have had this item it has allowed me to resume most excercises without feeling the discomfort of the hernia . Excellent product. I bought the Medical Pro version before this one and it was very uncomfortable and didn’t fit properly. This one is much better.

Worth the extra money.
My husband had his hernia surgery cancelled and as the cheap support belts didn't seem to ease the pain that much I ordered one of these. He says it's a lot more comfortable to wear and it gives firmer support in the area that needs it.

Bought a few different brands but this one has held together the best. The padding was too hard actually hurt pressing on the hernia but swapped it with one from another belt and have been using it ever since. Can work all day with this on, doesn't get in the way and keeps the hernia in place, without the best after standing for 15 minutes I'm in extreme pain but with this on can work 8 hours easy. Great belt just needs a slightly softer pad.

This groin hernia belt was very effective and just what I needed prior to surgery. I have a slim build and I was in the early stages of an inguinal hernia diagnosis. I had no problems while I wore the belt and that included skiing four days in a row. Yes, as referenced in other reviews, it does protrude a bit but I do not think it would have been as effective had it not. I is not noticeable if you wear a t-shirt or other shirt over your pants. I am very satisfied as it did what it was supposed to do and saved me a lot of discomfort.

I'm scheduled for inguinal hernia surgery in May, and needed a belt in the meantime. I had purchased a previous belt from Amazon that wasn't effective, but my first impressions of this one are excellent. Regarding size, I measured across my hips (where the belt covers the hernia) at 39" and ordered the S/M size which fits perfectly with no overlap. It takes a bit of experimentation to get the proper positioning, but once done I find it very effective. One caveat: I find the removable ball insert too firm and large for comfort. Instead, I used a thinner insert from my previous belt which works much better. I think it would be preferable to replace the supplied insert with something else, or even do some "surgery" on it to reduce it's thickness.

This belt says it's made for men (who are the most common ones to get inguinal hernias), but I am a woman who has an inguinal hernia, and this belt works! It is a bit clumsy at first, and feels a bit barbaric when you first try to figure out how it goes, but it definitely supports the right area, and helps SO much with pain. Very big range of adjustability, so the fit can be just how you need it. It's not the easiest to wear in public, as the front "bulb" (which is removable, but I find it doesn't support the same without it for me), protrudes out so you wouldn't want to wear a short shirt or tight clothes. but all in all, I find a lot of relief with this belt!
