M&N Designs Vintage Leather Journal with Lock Closure, Hand-Made Paper - Traditional, Vegan, 7" x 5"

I've been looking for a good quality journal for awhile now and I prefer the older, more classic, leather style.I saw many ones with intricate claps, gems, or weaving on the front, but they seemed a little impractical and I didn't feel like spending more than $30 dollars. I saw this and I loved the design. Today I received it in the mail and I was very happy with what I got. It was packaged nicely and it wasn't dirty or damaged at all. The leather is actually real, (which is didn't expect) and the cover has a nice sturdy feel to it. It feels a little stiff at first, but since I have to hold the left side down in order to write, it gets better with some use. It doesn't stay all the way closed without the clasp because of the leather so the clasp was a good idea and it seems it is attached well to the cover. The design is actually carved into the book which makes it look a lot nicer. The pages are really good quality and are a lot thicker than printer paper or notebook paper. You could use this as a sketch book for drawings or a journal. My "artist pens" don't bleed through them at all which is really nice. I also really like that there are no lines on the pages which makes it look nicer and it looks good when you add your own borders/designs. Overall, I was really happy with this journal and I would recommend it to anyone.

I usually don’t write reviews straight away, but I’m making an exception for this item.If you are thinking of purchasing this for someone as a gift~do it!If you are thinking of spoiling yourself~do it!!!I bought this for myself, with the intention of keeping track of storylines, and working on character development (for a book I am writing). I am beyond impressed with the craftsmanship and care that went into making this. I’m also impressed with how quickly it arrived! I will be buying myself another one, and I would most definitely purchase it for a gift. If you’re on the fence about with journal to do with, I would highly suggest you go with this one.

This journal is made beautifully. The leather is real and it is thick. I am in love with the size and the material that hugs the pages. I am letting my sit out open because the smell when it arrives is so potent. Other than that, I would tell you to buy it :)

At this point I have bought several different books of this type ( not by this company) and have been sorely disappointed. Some looked nothing like what was pictured and others were poorly made with very loose binding, pages falling out and the cover designs being badly done. I am so happy with this book. Finally I have found something that is just as advertised and it really is gorgeous. I love that it's tooled and the latch is a plus as well. Most of all this book is well and tightly bound. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Would 100% recommend

Pictures can’t do this book justice, it is quite lovely. The leather is relatively thin and smells so good. The tooling is not a hundred percent professional but is beautiful. The clasp is sturdy. It’s a bit smaller than I expected. My only complaint, moderately serious, is the papers binding is pretty flimsy.

I actually got this as a gift for my third grade grandson to draw. write or whatever. It is really beautiful and the latch was a big hit. I know this is really for adults but my grandson thought it was awesome and so did his younger brother who is eight. I have purchased another which I will give to the younger brother on his birthday.

The book is a nice size and the craftsmanship is beautiful. It looks just like the picture, but I took two stars off bc the varnish smell on the cover is overpowering. I'm not even sure I can give this to my child for Christmas bc of it. I'll let it air out another day and see if it gets any better but I highly doubt it will as it seems engrained into it. The smell even rubs off onto my hands when I touch it. I'm not sure how anyone would be able to sit down and write anything in it for too long as you can't breathe that odor in for very long.

Beautiful beautiful handmade journal.. will definitely be purchasing one again from this company.. probably a little larger, for More ease of writing..quality, beautiful paper, and hand sewn.. I use it for a bullet journal, smaller one is perfect to have in a bag/purse for easy carrying .. cuz you never know when you feel like writing until you just do!! well worth the price!

This was baught as a gift and the mrs was over the moon with it. Well crafted and put togeather with top quality paper pages

A beautifull book, being Wiccan I use it for my book of shadows. Gorgeous paper too xx
