Great for a price.
I’ve used these aluminum TIG rods on a few different projects and overall they work pretty good. The 1/16" size is nice for thinner aluminum and the 5 lb pack gives you plenty of rod to work with. They feed into the puddle pretty smooth and I didn’t have any major problems with contamination or weird reactions. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that I feel like the rods could be a little more consistent. A few of them seemed slightly different in straightness, but nothing that really stopped me from using them. I always make sure the aluminum and rod is cleaned really good before welding, which makes a big difference. For the price, I think these are a good choice for general aluminum TIG welding and home shop projects. I would buy them again.

Good quality, run clean and seem to be strong.
Okay, they're short, but you now, for some projects that actually nice. Sure, you're going to end up with a bit more waste, but that's alright considering the speed and ease of using a slightly shorter rod. I'm very happy these and will be purchasing more as needed. And yes, I do normally use the standard length rods, but I'm really glad I tried these. For certain applications, they're the a nice change of pace.
