Smith & Wesson Bullseye Throwing Products with Full Tang Stainless Steel Design and Protective Nylon Sheaths for Recreation and Competition

These are my first "throwing knives", having upgraded from various plastic handled cheap kitchen knives that came free from when I opened a bank account. So I'm no ninja knife master. That being said, I can appreciate how the point is designed on these knives, almost like a spike... hard... thick and strong point that'll stick well enough. My throwing sucks at best but I can get out to 4m on a good day, no spin technique throwing backhand, over the top, and "Mexican sideways" (my most deadly method, taught by a real Mexican). Throwing Mexican sideways is my medium range method... also my hardest throwing method, and often times the knife comes in at a weird angle, lotta power... and this is where all other knives have failed with bent/broken tips. I had a few Budweisers yesterday and got out there behind the barbecue grill and was letting this wooden board have it, wondering whether these $4 apiece knives would withstand the abuse.... yeah the points held up just fine. And this wooden board I've been throwing at... it is far from ideal... very hard surface, hardwood target. So far so good. Knives have good weight, throw well, I like them. Will update review with how they hold up over time. Amen. Mexican sideways. UPDATE - Nov. 2019 - Knives are holding up well. Mexican sideways. Only complaint is not really a complaint at all - the black finish is wearing off of the tips. But this is after months and months of throwing. I've gotten shit housed a time or two and really thrown the hell out of these - bounces and misses, clattering around on hard concrete surfaces. No problemo for these bosses. I mean these things are solid. I've thrown all three of these knives enough now that if they all broke tomorrow, I'd buy them again. Tips are still perfectly fine after a ridiculous amount of abuse. Good durable product.

These throwing knives have been a fantastic first set for me for getting into knife throwing. They’re nicely lightweight, which makes them easy to handle, but still substantial enough to throw consistently and with control. The full tang construction feels solid and durable, and the material is thick enough that even when they clang together, they don’t show much wear, so it's a great design. The points are sharp and stick well, and the balance makes it easier to develop a smooth, repeatable throw. They also come with a pouch that keeps everything together and easy for storage. All in all, these are durable, well-balanced throwing knives that I’d highly recommend for anyone looking to practice and improve their skills, even if you're just starting out! Especially great for spin throwing!

Greatly balanced, has a good weight, doesnt feel too light. Nice and sharp out the box.

Good throwing knives for practicing! None have chipped or broken so far. Good size and seem sturdy enough.

This is the 2nd set of 8-inch throwing knives that I bought from S&W. I'm a big fan of their inexpensive but adequately functional blades and equipment. These throwers feel great in the hand, are extremely well balanced, and have a decent heft and weight to them which gives some good penetration even on hard and knotty wood. The sides of the blade are not sharpened at all, but the points are very pointy and sharp. This is the case with many throwing knives. I did sharpen up the first inch of blade on a few from an older set but I do not recommend this if throwing into wood due to the fact that it will weaken the tip. The carry sheath they come with is also of decent quality. At $20 for a set of three and $30 for a set of six, I'm gonna have to give them a 5 star rating.

Ok as a starting knife but one of the tips bent and chipped off the first day using them. Still fun to play with and an affordable price if you're just trying it out as new hobby.

I have used these knives for multiple sessions of throwing and they hold up well. I've been throwing knives for about a year now and these are my favorite ones. They're simple in design but that's what makes them so great, they're reliable and don't have any extra decorations or anything to hinder their balance and handling. Only the end tip is sharpened so there's also minimal worry if you're the type who throws from the blade rather than from the handle. If you find yourself shopping for your first throwers, get these! (Or if you find different ones that's cool too, whatever brings you the most fun! Just don't get anything with paracord because it will come off no matter what and you may become mildly saddened by the loss of your paracord). Update June 2024: After more experience knife throwing and having tried/owned a larger variety of knives, I have a little more insight. Due to their lighter weight you need to have good control if you do spins and want consistent throws. No-spin throws will be pretty difficult with them. There is a risk of them bouncing back at you if you hit them at the wrong angle given their weight. Consider wearing shop glasses or being extra vigilant. I still find these to be my easiest knives to use but I think that might just be since they were my first set. They have held up well after owning them for >1 year.

These were a Xmas gift for my 16 year old and he absolutely loves them. He didn’t ask for them but I took a chance, and I’m glad I did. These get him outside daily, and it’s something fun to do with his friends and his 19 year old brother loves to join him too. We have an old barn in the yard that they can throw these at. I’m going to buy more, I’m thinking axes next!

My first set of throwing knives, I dont know much about throwing knives BUT. They work, I can land them. And im getting better. None have broken so far or bent. Thats good enough for me!

Great quality. Minus 1 star because the provided case is basically too tight for all 3 knives at once.

Wanted a throwing knife set to play around in the backyard with. These work well enough, and not too expensive to be worried about losing or breaking any. The only thing I don't really like is the colour. The black finish blends in with the ground surprisingly well and is quite hard to find if you miss and it goes into the brush.
