For the price, this little thing is awesome!! I couldn’t be more impressed with this 1:18 scale RC car! From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell it was a good quality for the price and attention to detail. The high speed is dang good, and the 4x4 capability makes it perfect for a kiddos first “hobby grade” basher. Whether it’s on dirt trails, grass, or even through puddles (thanks to its waterproof design), it performs flawlessly every time. The two included batteries are a game-changer, providing up to 40 minutes of fun, which is plenty for extended play sessions. The 2.4GHz remote works well, and the responsive controls make it a joy to drive. It’s perfect for both kids and adults—I’ve had just as much fun as my son playing with it! This toy is fantastic! It’s loved by everyone, and as a gearhead who has driven full-sized adult versions, it’s a great choice. We also purchased a similar green model so we could play together at the same size, and it matches in speed. It feels like the same toy with a different design, which is perfect. I appreciate the front lights; my adult version doesn’t have those! The speed is just right—fast enough to be exciting but not so fast that it breaks when it hits something. It really holds up well during rough play. Even when it’s pushed to its limits, it bounces back without any issues! The body comes with a plastic cover, similar to the satisfying peel-off covers on electronics. I intentionally left it on to protect the toy for a while. Although the cover is starting to wear, the body underneath is still in great shape. I plan to keep it on until it starts to come off completely, and it will be satisfying to peel it off! It's great that it includes two batteries and two USB chargers, allowing you to charge it in your car. You can easily carry the spare batteries in your pocket when going to the park. While I’m not sure about the exact runtime, it’s decent—enough for fun without being too long, given the size. I also like that it comes with many spare parts! The only spare part I've had to use after a lot of playtime over the past few weeks is the body clips. They can pop out if the cotter pins are pushed to the halfway point, but if you push them on fully, they stay put. I use two clips at opposite corners, which is sufficient and makes it a bit harder to remove. It took me a moment to figure out the best way to do this, but it’s manageable. I highly recommend this toy and have already suggested it to others. This toy will be enjoyed by everyone!

I got this as a christmas gift for a 60ish pound dog. Shes a bundle of energy and would go nuts when a neighbor drove their rc car in the streets. I went in with the expectation that I maybe throwing my money away and the car likely wouldnt last long against a dog. My hope was that I'd get atleast a few uses with a it. I tested it a couple times before playing with the dog so I could get the hang of it. The car has got decent enough speed and surprisingly held up well to the dog. The top part is just a shell all the important stuff is at the bottom. This works out because the dog kept bitting it across the top. The shell looks a bit worse for ware but far as I can tell all the components are in ok shape(save for the clip I some how broke on the internal battery connector. It still holds well enough and is not missed.) The wheel are sorta spongie which also works out for when the dog got a wheel in her mouth it held up. Its worth noting I redirected her when she got ahold of it and often had to pick and put the car back on its wheel. Maybe your dogs experience may vary but I let her have her way with it for about a minute to see what she would do and she had a propensity to shake it and if left long enough I'm sure she would have gotten to chewing it. The dog became an expert at internationally flipping the car over and more or less learned to let it go so I could correct it. The car worked well enough on flat top and short grass but got caught on uneven lumps on my less manicured back yard. Sometimes it went forwards to backwars flawlessly. Sometimes there was a delay where it didnt respond. How much of this had to do with battery life I dont know. I used lawn chairs to help keep up the fun because the dog couldnt really get at the car under neath. It lasted a decent amount of time and having the second battery was nice even if it was a bit of a pain to switch. All and all not so bad for the first go. It survived surprisingly well and the dog really enjoyed it. It would be a different game if it went more easily on the lawn. I think a bigger scale might have been better for this size dog because ideally I dont want her to be able to get her mouth around it. But when she did the shell was forgiving enough.

This truck is a lot of fun for my son. It’s much faster than his other R/Cs (mostly crawlers and toy-grade). The batteries last a decent amount of time, although one of the charging cables shows a blinking red light and will not charge. Customer service is helpful and communicative and is working to remedy the issue currently. He’s not a talented driver, and this truck has held up well to his abuse. The spare parts provided are helpful. Would recommend for the price.

I was a bit skeptical about this rc car mainly due to the price. Some of my friends have "real" rc cars that cost a lot more. This one is definitely smaller but works well for an ~8 yr old child. Big box stores sell rc cars too that are slightly cheaper than this one but way lower quality. Only time will tell how durable this rc car is but so far it has held up well for the past two weeks. I will update the review if I feel the durability is not good. The build quality seems ok, there are a lot of plastic parts and again it's hard to say how long this will last. There is a box of spare parts included so I imagine this must mean that stuff is expected to break. I appreciate the inclusion of these parts so I can attempt to fix the car versus having to throw it away. The lights on the front are a nice touch. Children in general are not the most careful with toys and especially with speed of this car, crashes are inevitable. But so far it has held up well. Yes, the box does say 14+ but it can be suitable for a younger child that is mechanically inclined especially if you turn down the speed to half. It is still plenty fast at half speed honestly. The manual also states a 20 minute run time per battery which will easily be exceeded if the speed is limited. The motor is less likely to overheat also if operated at lower speeds. A younger child will definitely need help removing the body to access and change the battery. I've noticed that sometimes the remote and car don't sync up right away though the manually says once paired the connection should be seamless. No big deal though. I do like that the battery charges over USB, no need for a special wall charger. I also appreciate that the battery uses an iron based chemistry so it is less volatile and will not fail catastrophically into a ball of flames. There are two batteries included too which provide plenty of run time. The manual does state that the battery should be disconnected from the car when not in use and there are also tags on the wiring to remind you of this. I imagine that the battery could drain and become damaged if left connected to the car. From my understanding this is true for other rc cars powered with lithium batteries. Overall for the price this "real" rc car is a great value for kids/teens.

This thing is great for beginners does everything it says it will do but was a little disappointed in the speed I don't think it actually does rated speed other than that was impressed with durability and quality

So this model appears to be exactly the same as a similarly priced green one with similar pictures. The model number and ID tags on it are exactly the same too to support that. That being said they operate on a different channel in the 2.4gHz band so you can race them at the same time! Overall the car is great. It’s quite fast and comes pretty close to the advertised 40 km/h, it’s nearly as fast as cars driving by on a city street! The little pins that hold the shell down do have a habit of coming out but they give you a bunch of extras. Speaking of that, the baggy of extra parts is awesome to have as this car is quite fast and will crash and parts will definitely break. The car is pretty easy to work on for replacing parts, though the included screw driver is kind of garbage. The car comes with two battery packs and two chargers. The batteries last about 15-20 minutes and then they charge up pretty quickly, maybe 45 minutes? The adjustments on the car are helpful, full throttle trim is pretty tough to control and takes very small inputs for steering. Turning it most all the way down makes it a decent toy for younger kids in the 5-8 range or for driving indoors in smaller spaces. The plastic shell can take some abuse, but I would be curious to see where you can get replacement ones as there isn’t one with the spare parts. Overall, for what this costs, it’s a great toy, and feels much more expensive. Time will tell how long it lasts but it definitely gives a great first impression after a week of rolling around with it!
