When you're on a carnivore diet like myself, things can get kind of boring as you try and avoid all plant foods including herbs and spices. I don't have a smoker or barbecue, which would naturally provide the smoky taste anyways if I could use one. I use this on all of my meats without having a desire to incorporate any other spice for flavoring my meats. A little coarse for my liking, so I use a spice grinder to make the grains a little bit finer to my preference.

Excellent smoke flavor in the salt, I use this in all of my fresh and cured sausages. If you mill the salt to finer consistency, it works exceptionally well in eggs and pastry.

Great product. A little goes a long way like sesame oil.

Good product but prefer a more smoked aroma/ flavor. This is more like a liquid smoke which is fine as long as you know what your getting. Great for a busy kitchen. Great price. Side note: cap on the jar was damaged in shipping but product was not effected.

It smells good, it tastes good but it is not smoked sea salt, it is salt with smoke flavoring added. This product should be labeled "smoke flavored salt" because that is what it is. I have no idea what's in the "smoke flavoring". I assume most people are looking for a pure product, this is not it.

Not as the description says AT ALL. This is NOT smoked salt, it is salt rolled in smoke flavoring. This has all the "charm" of smoke flavoring rolled salt too...that bitter and chemical taste. I'd send it back if I hadn't opened it and then been hit with the smell. They don't show the ingredients here for a reason...it doesn't match the description at all. Cheap, nasty, very disappointing.

Love it. I only use smoked salt if it's available. Smoked Pepper, too.

Meh—it’s just salt with liquid smoke added. Don’t waste your money-make your own.
