Bought this for our new great grandson it is great

I bought this toy for my son when he was about 9 months old, and he still plays with it now at 2.5. It is nice and colorful, and definitely helped him with his fine motor skills. He had trouble getting the quills into the holes at first. It has provided hours of entertainment. We did lose some quills, and he was very upset. So, I ended up buying a second one to replace it. The quills fit inside the toy when not in use. So, it is fairly easy to keep them together if you are intentional about cleaning it up when they are done playing.

My 2 year old loves this toy. Easy enough for open by herself. The spikes are easy in and easy out for great independent play. There’s number play and color play as well. Great toy.

This comes beautifully packaged, it's bright and appealing at first glance. Inside there is the hedgehog, which is cute and contains holes at the top. The cards contain a word that when the child learns is rewarded by placing a coloured plastic spike into the holes on the hedgehog. The game is fun and safe for very young children, it's a lovely learning aid filled with enjoyment.

This is a cute little fine motor activity for toddlers! My son has been playing with this at a play group and absolutely loves it! We haven't opened it as it will be a Christmas present but it's the exact same as the one in the play group! Definitely very durable (as many kids have played with this toy and it's been around for at least a year) the colors are very vibrant. I'd rate this toy anywhere from 1-5yo age rage, my son has fine motor delays and is 3 and loves this toy! Easy to store as the stick inserts can go right under into the compartment.

The five star reviews here aren't unfairly given: this is a really neat and cute learning resource. I don't know whether an 18-month old would be able to use it but for three years old and over, I'd say it's a well thought out and truly fun way to learn first words.
