Gentlemens Collection Mens Linen Look Guayabera Shirt - Long Sleeve Cuban Shirt

Very nice and well made shirt. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.However, the shirt was supposed to be light yellow. In the photo, it looks pretty yellow. In actuality, it's a very, very pale yellow. In contrast to my white closet doors, you can see there isn't all that much difference. I made it work, but was looking for something more yellow.The fit was about what I expected. It fit in the stomach and chest areas, but the sleeves are on the short side and the neck was too small. I'm guessing the sleeves for the XXL are 33/34 and the neck is 17.5 or 18. While I was hoping for longer/larger in those 2 areas, it's probably a fairly standard fit for the size.

3.5 stars. I purchased both a white and a black guayabera. Because they were a just tiny bit small on my current frame (ahem, I’ve gained 10lbs), I chose to wear the black one at a ceremony of a Celebration of Life of the mother of a friend. The white one is just enough see-through that I’d have to had worn a t-shirt underneath, but it was a hot day. Either of these styled shirts would have been a great choice for a semi-dressy or “dressy casual” event with Filipinos, Mexicans, Cubans, etc. In these and many other countries, a hot and humid climate has caused an evolution in men’s style to this type of embroidered shirt and often made from local plant fibers. I love the style of these shirts and I have many of them (although to be frank, it’s because of weight gains and loses over the years haha). I’ve often worn them at parties and dressy-casual events, but not so often at events where Americans predominate. But I do see them more and more often here in Southern California. Which is great because you do not wear a necktie with this type of shirt! So guys, try one of these for a unique look.

First, to clarify the question about fit, I have some experience with "Gentlemans Collection" and know that 3X is my size in that brand, although I am 2X in most main-stream brands. The 3X ordered fits as expected. The color is a touch deeper than the illustration but still very nice pastel and just slightly unusual, which is what I wanted. The fabric and decoration are first class, the decoration simple and elegant. I enjoy wearing Guayaberas shirts as an alternative to sport coats for informal evening wear on cruise ships. Delivery was one day earlier than promised. Packaging was minimal but adequate to protect the product.

I bought this for my boyfriend. He’s a little over 5’9”, about 183 pounds with an athletic build. The quality of the shirt is decent and the fit in the torso is as expected but the sleeves were about 6” too short so he rolled the sleeves up because it was too late to find something else to wear.

My husband is looking forward to using this beautiful shirt come spring. This shirt is elegant. He particularly wanted a white one. But I bought him a blue one, too. I think I'll buy some more in different colors in the future. The sizing is good, too. Wears nicelt.

The fabric was paper thin and translucent, practically like tissue paper. It was stiff and felt awful. It was sized small also. We promptly returned it. For the low price we didn’t expect a super high quality guayabera, but this was ridiculous.

We bought this shirt for my husband to have on our cruise. It fit him perfectly. We got him a size large. It was great because it didn't need ironing after washing. He wore this to dinner on the cruise and looked very fancy and he was very comfortable. Great purchase for our trip!

Purchased as a gift for my husband. The quality is quite good, the "linen look" fabric is excellent imitation--and without the ironing of real linen. I intend to purchase more in other colors.
