It is a softer hold, so probably not, unless your hair was already pretty spiky. Even then, it would not hold it long.

Hold is great!

I’ve been using sexy hair for YEARS! It’s the best with shorter hair that keeps a good style while not looking too greedy. I find it works best in my hair after a few days of not shampooing. It is very sticky and holds well enough!
