I have a 15 lb Hammer bowling ball that is at least 35 years old, which I quit using on a regular basis in league bowling 28 years ago for one reason or another. I started up league bowling in a seniors' league a few years ago and realized I had no where near the average I use to carry. To make things worse, I had a reverse shoulder replacement (of course my bowling arm) two years ago; and, could no longer throw the ball like I use to (speed and accuracy). I tried bowling with house balls using different weights, and discovered I now need a 13 lb ball. I saw the Rhino and read the reviews, and after seeing it on sale, decided to give it a try. Wish I could say a miracle happened and I now have my previous 167 average back (I never said I was a great bowler), and that everything is wonderful in the world of bowling - no such luck. I have managed to increase my average now from 122 to 124.. This ball has an awesome hook, that I am just now starting to control (this week I had a 422 series, which is great for me). I have been using this ball for about four weeks; and, I only bowl once a week in a senior's league. Bottom line: it appears to be a great bowl for the casual bowler; and, the price is great too. I would not recommend it for a beginner.
