The color is definitely not a black brown. It is more of a light reddish brown
I did like the quality of the product. It goes on easy and does not give your hair a dry look, it’s just that the color is not accurate. My gray hair came out to be red instead of black/brown

HORRENDOUS New Formula
This new formula is terrible! The color is not the same, and it does not dry down properly, leading to embarassing color on your fingers in the middle of the day. Why would you add oil? It's ink!
