I am someone who rarely deviates from gluten free products, but I made an exception here. I took a look at the Bearpaw Heritage website, was impressed by what they are doing in the sourcing of their ingredients, their harvesting and milling practices, and in their plans for the future... and decided to give them a try. While I don't have celiac disease, I tend to feel better physically when I stay away from most grains. I also have family members who have strong food sensitivities, particularly to wheat, so I'm always mindful of what is in the food I eat and what I bring to my family. When I see products with ingredients that move away from the highly industrialized forms of grain and companies that are working so hard to use sustainable practices, I like to give them a try whenever possible - that's how Bearpaw Heritage made it to my breakfast table this past weekend. First, this is a great mix. The pancakes were simple to make, the batter had a great consistency and the pancakes were very tasty with a good texture.The pancakes were hearty and filling and I'm looking forward to making muffins this coming weekend! After trying the pancakes I went back to the website to learn more and I liked what I learned. I liked that they are using einkorn and other heritage grains, that they are mindful of using no-till practices -the best farming practices for their area - and i liked that they are committed to using local producers and mills at every step of the process. Ordering was easy, shipping was free, delivery was quicker than I expected, and I really like that they use a paper (non-plastic) bag for the mix.  Ancient Grain Pancake & Baking Mix

Sorry, I really wanted to like this but I did not like the flavor at all even though I put raw organic butter and 100% pure organic maple syrup ALL OVER IT. I made one batch, will not finish the rest. If you'd like to kick your pancake habit this might do the trick. Hate to disagree with the other posts but I bought this expensive mix because of the posts so I thought it was only right to spare someone else the expense. I guess everyone has different tastes so give it a try if you don't mind spending $13 for one pancake if you don't like it. I did buy this on Amazon because I couldn't find it anywhere else. 2 stars for the idea and the effort to promote a more healthful item, one star for the taste.

I love this pancake mix! I have tried a lot of different pancake mixes in attempting to find an alternative to the standard filler mixes. The other mixes were either gritty, dry and or bad taste. This mix has great taste as well as texture. I was even more surprised by my girlfriends teenage daughter and 4 and 5 year old kids reaction. They loved the pancakes and ask for them all the time!Besides the great taste the mix is made of ancient grains, which do not bloat me like modern processed grain gluteus. Overall a great product!

Rich flavor and fluffy texture. My kids gobbled up the pancakes as well. Nice to be able to read all of the ingredients and felt good feeding my kids a healthy and delicious breakfast.

I made my first pancakes today with this mix and they were wonderful...so tasty. I used milk and added some chopped almonds and walnuts. Can't wait to try it with buttermilk.

This is the best pancake mix we have ever had. It’s a great blend of healthful ingredients, fluffy and tasty that the whole family loves! Packaging is a bit difficult to get into and rips when trying to open.

I was looking for a pancake mix packed with protein for my toddler and this mix has been perfect. The mix is super yummy and super healthy. It's a great product and whenever I run out immediately order more!

So delicious! I wish they had a bigger size and were available In more markets! I kept to the recipe on the back, and I tried it once with buttermilk instead of water. Sooooo good! Our 7 month old loved it too
