Incorrect Fabric Content Stated for Quartz Stone
I just received these Lee Quartz Stone Carpenter jeans that are listed as 100% cotton. They are identified by the tag as 70% cotton and 30% polyester. They are nice carpenter jeans but this is important to some and deceptive, whether intentional or not.I will update after wearing these as to their durability and comfort. We have liked this style in the past so hope that they measure up.11/24/17- It's been a little over six months since I purchased these and they are wearing well, without weaknesses in the fabric or other issues. My husband can be hard on his jeans too, so I'm pleased with this purchase, in spite of the incorrect fabric statement.

Comfortable, iPhone friendly, just a tiny bit larger than expected
I've owned earlier versions of these carpenter pants, which were all cotton and I loved them. Most important to me, my iPhone 7+ -- not the biggest on the market, but big -- manages to fit into the side pocket at my right thigh, exactly the way it did on my previous, five-year-old pair. My phone is 6 1/4" x 3", including a case. It's not an easily slip-in-slip-out like a holster; you have to angle the phone in and maneuver a bit. But it definitely works. And of course, for any smaller phones, it would be a lot easier. My old pair of Lee carpenter jeans was 100% cotton, and that meant a lot to me. I usually find blends scratchy, and I wear these jeans a lot, so that should have been a deal-breaker. Instead, I find this 25% poly blend surprisingly soft and comfortable. I've worn them daily for about 10 days now, and I actually believe they're more comfortable than my old all-cotton ones. Don't know why, can't explain it, but it's definitely true. The only reason this is four stars and not five is that, for me, the size was a tiny bit bigger than expected. I wear a 33/30 (other sizes might have different results), and they're just a bit more loose at the waist and a bit longer than I would consider perfect. But perfection is probably too much to ask, and the truth is, they look and feel fine. I was nervous about this order, given the polyester, but I'm totally satisfied with it.

Read first. Lee changed the material and poissible the size.
I always buy these locally and loved them. The ones I bought here are wrong color, 2 inches to tight , not 100% cotton don't feel relaxed, and no authentic tag like my others. My bad for not retuning them right away because of a busy schedule and the hassle. I thought these might be cheap knock offs at first but come to find out if you visit the Lee website, they acknowledge they made the jeans different and everyone is complaining that have bought these for years and expected the same quality comfortable jeans they are used to buying. I verified with a local store and sure enough they are the same cheaper jeans and with in a few dollars difference is all now.

Not the same as the normal ones
The material of the Retro Stone color (perhaps all of them) is definitely some cheaper version of the original fabric. It feels flimsy and light. They are also branded with a leather or faux-leather Lee tag on the rear pocket which is another departure from the original, and are missing the little fabric "Carpenter" label on the rear-inside of the waistband. They are definitely not the same as the ones that Sears sells on the rack. I don't understand.

What the waist size carefully. They run small
I have a 31 inch waist and 32 length. I will normally wear a carhartt 32 waist with a belt, but with these I had to go to a 33 to get the identical fit. Just in case I did order the 34 inch waist and I am happy. The reason for the additional inch in waist size is in case they shrink. With a belt they fit great and I can move around easily. I don't think they be as durable as my carhartt denim jeans, but I I'm sick and tired of carhartt's inconsistent cheap manufacting process. I've emailed them several times and they could careless about customers opinion, they actually tried to tell me how I should feel about their product. I welcome change, Now Lee is in and carhartt got the boot.

Not true to size based on previous purchase
I really like this style jean from Lee. I purchased these pants in a store two years ago and thought when I found them here it was a perfect fit. I bought the same size and the waist was 2 and a quarter inches off. I had to do an exchange and get the next waist size up which when measured, was exactly the same as the store bought size that was smaller.Update: Bought another pair from the store at the original size and the measurement was exact. The one's here are a waist size smaller.

Sizes run big
My husband loves these carpenter jeans, and has a few pairs of the same exact type. He made the mistake of assuming they would fit the same, so he didn’t bother to try them on. Fast forward a month, and guess what? They are way too big and too long! We compared them to his old ones and realized the old ones had a 34” inseam, but were shorter than the 32s we received! Because he waited too long to try them on we can’t return them. They are great pants, so we will just donate them. Lesson learned!

Gold standard for loose fit
Perfect fit, much better than Levi's 569 Loose Fit (bubble butt) or Carhartt Loose Fit Carpenter (too high waist, like traffic cone). I only wish there were more 100% cotton options, and more non-blue colors (like the Aztec which was my favorite), and I wish there were a non-carpenter jean with this same fit (but no extra pockets/loops).I agree with other reviewers that the measurements can sometimes vary between different pairs that are supposed to be the same size, but they've been mostly consistent. I found the quality when buying from Amazon is the same as buying these elsewhere like Sears (unlike Levis, which manufactures their Amazon products in a different country than the products it sells on their own website).

Coco the Clown is coming to town...
So, I give 2 stars for the speed of delivery and the quality of build. However, the cut of these jeans is just about as absurd as it gets. They are so huge and baggy that one would look like a cross between coco the clown and the worst dressed rapper in town walking down the street. I put them on and my partner immediately laughed her socks off. It was like wearing a set of denim sails. One could easily get blown into the sea wearing to much cloth! As I am in the UK sending them back to USA would be too much hassle so shall put it down to experience I guess. Utterly hopeless purchase.

Worth waiting for
Been buying these for my son for years...used to buy in visits to USA but have now had several from Global. They take a few weeks but so glad I can get them. Not as thick and sturdy as many years ago but still good value and wear well. Haven’t noticed any change in fit.

Great Fit
Purchased for husband and love the fit and Lee has always been one of my favourites. While living in the States, Lee was always my first choice!

I'm happy with them
The previous reviews mentioned that these were baggy, wearing Levi's regularly, I went down a size in waist. The size was good, although I should have reduced the I side leg size also. The quality is good, after wear and washes, they will look even better.Worth the money, no faults or defects.
