Stoner Car Care Tarminator Tar & Sap Remover, 10 oz, 91154

This was actually amazing. I had tons of tar stuck on my (white) car, sprayed this on and it literally started melting in seconds. It didn’t damage my paint or top coat at all. I washed my car as normal, sprayed this and left it on for maybe 5-10 seconds, scrubbed it off, then rinsed with the hose and washed with my soapy water again. Took it all right off! It didn’t work well for bugs, but it’s not marketed for that - my other bug remover spray worked though. No complaints on that at all, just wanted to note that it’s perfect for tar and only tar!

Had to still scrub a little to get the thinking tar off my car but I have never properly removed it since buying my vehicle 4 years ago. It worked the best out of the products I have tried so far. Left an oily residue even after washing will need to wash again.

Was quite impressed at how well this worked at removing sap from the hood of my car. I wiped the spot before application to remove any other dirt. Then I sprayed just a little shot of this on the spot and let it sit for about 45 seconds. The set came right off with no marks or damage to the paint. Poured some water over it and washed away the excess. I was very pleased with the results. Would highly recommend.

Best tar and sap remover on the market. Easy to use, highly effective. Drove on a freshly re-paved road that was not properly finished. Had a bunch of slung up tar on the mud flaps and side of my vehicle. This made easy work of removing all of it

I recently tried Stoner Car Care’s Tar, Sap, and Asphalt Remover with high hopes of tackling some stubborn pine tree sap on my vehicle. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite the product’s claims, it failed to make a noticeable dent in removing the sap. First, let me say that the packaging and marketing of this remover are promising, but the performance is another story. Pine tree sap is notoriously difficult to deal with, and I expected this specialized product to handle the job effectively. However, after following the instructions meticulously—applying it directly to the sap, letting it sit for the recommended time, and then wiping it away—I found that it barely touched the sticky residue. The remover didn’t dissolve or lift the sap as advertised. Instead, I had to resort to excessive scrubbing and even tried multiple applications, which still didn’t yield the results I was hoping for. Not only did this consume a significant amount of my time, but it also left me frustrated and disappointed. In addition to its ineffectiveness on pine sap, the product’s smell was quite strong and unpleasant. It’s a minor point compared to its cleaning performance, but it did add to the overall negative experience. For anyone dealing with stubborn pine tree sap, I would recommend looking for alternative products specifically designed for that purpose. Stoner’s Tar, Sap, and Asphalt Remover might work fine for tar and asphalt, but when it comes to pine sap, it falls short of expectations. Save yourself the hassle and try a different solution that’s proven to handle sap effectively.

Didn't work well for me.

I’m not really the kind of person to leave reviews but I had tar stuck on my car for about 3 months. I tried scrubbing it off with soap and water to no avail. As soon as this was delivered a sprayed each spot twice and it literally melted away and I just had to wipe my car after afterwards 12/10 highly recommend

Excellent product. It removed last year's baked-on sap without the waiting period and without any hard rubbing. It also finds any small cuts or cracks in your hands.

My problem was Asphalt Tar removal Works well as directed. Worth adding to your detailing line-up. Apply to rinsed and dried area and allow 30 to 60 seconds to dissolve. You can see it works almost immediately. Always use a clean area on the cloth to wipe away or it gets smeared around. And they say rinse off after. I have nothing to compare Stoner with but heard that WD-40 does the same thing. If you already have WD sitting around, might be worth a try first.

This stuff is the best. I have sap that's been on my vehicle for years. And fresh stuff. It's a daily thing. I have to park under 4 big pine trees. Takes a couple sprays but works awesome. Follow instructions.

Fantastic! Got rid of all the annoying little black tar spots on my car that I have tried scrubbing and picking previously without success.
