Very Impressed for The Price!
Update 1/15/2025: I upgraded two of the static cameras with the PTZ on my driveway. I like that you can setup the “follow me” feature. However, it does come at a cost of clarity. You will see what I mean in the video. Otherwise, I like that they follow someone allowing more detailed as to where they are going (I.e. car, etc…) if you ever need to use it. Where as the static cameras you only get what you see. Additionally, you can manual control the movement of the camera through the app or NVR. Otherwise, once you set them up, you can forget them and let them do their thing. I also, like you can setup a default location (home) to return each time they follow something. So far they have only followed people and some animals, no cars seem to activate the AI detection. I purchased the OOSSXX 6TB hard Drive 8 camera "2-Way Audio 5.5MP 2 Antend Outdoor Security Wireless Camera System WiFi Video Surveillance" system. This was an upgrade from my Blink cameras, which I have had for many, many years. PROS: - Image quality is a vast improvement. - 24/7 continuous recording. - No subscription, but to be fair I did not have one with Blink either, I was grandfathered into their legacy system. Just know there is also a paid subscription you get as an add-on for a nominal yearly fee as a backup. - Up to 10 Cameras can be paired to the NVR. - The cameras do not use your existing WiFi to connect to the NVR for each camera, they are on their own channel directly to the NVR. However, you will need WiFi or directly connect to your router in order to access the cameras via the smartphone app (Eseecloud). - AI detection for alerts (if you choose to use). - I added a PTZ camera, and the "follow me" feature is amazing. Now I am contemplating replacing two or three more of the cameras to the PTZ ones. - Installation and setup were fairly easy. I say that because all the cameras in the package system are already setup (paired) to the NVR, you just need to install them. - Nighttime options, you can select for each camera if you want to use IR, Black & White only, Color, or auto. Depending on where your camera is located and the amount of light around it will depend on the choice you make, just test them all out. - Cameras seem solid, well built CONS: - Image quality at night could be better since daytime is great. - NVR software is a bit clunky to use, not user friendly. - Smartphone app (Eseecloud) is a slow load, but once in it works great. Additionally, they keep trying to get you to purchase the cloud backup when trying to review past video footage (only the smart app does this). - Depending on your distance, wall, window, etc... from the camera to the NVR, the single could be weak, and the camera will go offline at times. Adjusting the antennas at the camera and NVR can help alleviate this issue, but not a slam dunk. - Adding additional cameras must be directly connected to the NVR initially via the ethernet cable in order for it to pair to the camera, then you can disconnect the ethernet cable and install the camera. - Downloading footage from the NVR, honestly, I have not tried, so I am not sure how difficult it would be. However, from the Smartphone app (Eseecloud) is a nightmare. It only allows downloads in 1-hour chunks, which takes a long time to download. Once it is downloaded you can go to your Photos app and edit the video length to what you only need. I think this is by design to get you to purchase the cloud backup, my guess is they make reviewing your footage simpler and probably could download a specific section (this is just a guess only). - You may need longer screws for mounting, especially on stucco. Bottomline: If you want good resolution, 24/7 recording, no subscription, and mostly wire free (it needs power for each camera), then this is a great budget friendly home surveillance system. For me the worst thing is the downloading your footage, and even that is not that bad. NOTE: I installed all the cameras myself, I am not super handy when it comes to home repair stuff...I know enough to be very dangerous. I was able to install all the cameras, which included some drilling through my garage wall to feed the power cable through (two cameras), mounting was a breeze, all by myself. You must have a power source for each camera within 10 feet.

Best wireless camera system I have ever had.
Living in a house built in 1959 is a challenge when it came to installing a security surveillance system. There is no way I would even consider ripping walls open to install cables. However, the one good thing they did back in the day was to install outside electrical outlets on every corner of every wall of the outside of the house. Some walls, if they are extended in length, have 2 outlets. Therefor since I learned about their existence, I have been using wireless camera systems for approximately 10 years. This OOSSXX was the third system I have installed and by far the best ever. With the others I continuously struggled with WIFI connectivity due to range and walls that were built with metal mesh inside of them. I tried repeaters and WIFI amplifiers but nothing seemed to resolve the connection problems. And when they were on, the images were jumpy and would skip for many seconds at a time. I almost decided to just not deal with them anymore. Then a friend of mine told me that I should look into cameras with dual antennas. He said that these cameras increase the range and signal strength and should be receptive enough to resolve my connection issues. So I thought I would invest one more time in a wireless surveillance system. He was right. The OOSSXX was as easy to install as all the rest. I installed the cameras in the same location as all the others and have had no issues with connectivity. The video is clear and precise and in real time with only a fraction of a second of lag time. As well, for the first time I have cameras with two-way communication, a big plus from the previous systems. As well the NVR is easy to navigate. however, I have yet to figure out the functions of the remote. Although I have only had the system up and running for about a week, at this point I can't say enough good things about this OOSSXX system and would recommend it to anyone who has the issues I have, or even if you don't have my issues, this system is great for the price

Hard Drive Failure
Bought the 6tb 8 camera bundle about a year ago for home security. Camera quality is good-fair audio is very sensitive but good and clear. The night vision is good, offering a color version as well. Motion detection is great but sensitive and can be tricky to set up. Installation was straight forward. This would be a 5 star review if the hard drive did not fail. After a year of use it died and will not format. After reading 1 star reviews there was a lot of warning of this but I took the chance anyways. Looked for support on the website and it is saying I can buy any hard drive and format it and it SHOULD work. Very disappointed because of this, after buying chords and supplies to cover my home it was over 1k. Now I have to spend 100$+ for another hard drive

The quality was even better than I hoped for
The quality of the cameras is really good and excellent night vision as well. I got it with the 6-Terrabyte NVR which holds video and audio for at least 3 months before over-writing. I took the entire set in a hard carryon bag, I was able to repack it all in the carryon and took it overseas to my property in Panama. I had no problems with configuring and installing it...very easy install since each camera comes with a 10-ft cable that plugs into a 110-V outlet and wireless. I recently purchased 3 additional PTZ cameras of this OOSSXX brand and again found it to be excellent quality.

Vast improvement over my 1080p, but!
I have an earlier model that I replaced with this model. The resolution is vastly superior, the night vision is way better. But, in no way the wireless range twice as good. I’d say it’s equal to my 5 year old system.

Easy to install and best cameras I ever had!
I tried several brands on my property and found this dual antenna system was the best. The signal transmission is very strong and it penetrates thick concrete walls and double glass windows. I can see a much clearer image from a longer distance. The night vision is in color and quality of image is less grainy. The sound system is of much higher quality, I can hear clearly people talking, birds chirping and car passing from one camera installed at from entrance. Tech support is efficient, they patiently helped with any questions. I am very satisfied with this product and its manufacturer. I had a system with only one antenna and the camera barely worked on back of my house, but with dual antenna camera no problem at all.

OK Camera System, some issues
Here is my honest review. OOSSXX is one truly great camera system in many ways! I'm no camera expert, but as a user, I’ve tried and returned a few SD card-type cameras, and honestly, those are no comparison to this one. The SD cameras are not reliable and not cheap either. I have replaced a few 64Gb SD cards, and they only last a few months, especially when used outdoors in heat and cold. Many times when I wanted to check my recorded videos, I found out the SD card had failed to record. I pulled my hair a few times enough to make me bald. Pros: 1). Clear pictures. With the large-size hard drive, the cameras can record high-definition videos (2880 x 1620) without any issues. The system defaults to 24/7 recording, but I prefer motion-based recording, and changing this was easy. I can adjust one camera and apply the setting to all cameras. 2). 10 channels. I don’t need 16 cameras, I need exactly 10. Most camera systems support 8, 16, or 32 channels, and I couldn’t find a 16-channel system sold with just 8 or 10 cameras. This system supports 8 + 2, which is perfect for my needs. 3). AI Playback and human detection. The feature sounds great in theory — it crops playback to only show human activity, which should save time searching. Unfortunately, it doesn’t always work. Sometimes it fails to detect important events, and I’ve missed deliveries or had trouble locating recorded clips because the motion detection wasn’t triggered. Cons: 1). Only one USB port. When a USB mouse is plugged in, there’s no room for a backup drive or keyboard. Maybe a USB hub will solve this, but it’s inconvenient. 2). The “View” button (to switch from 1, 4, or 9 screens) on the remote sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t. I have to log in as admin and then back out for it to work again, which feels like a software bug. 3). There’s no power switch on the NVR. Maybe it’s not needed, but unplugging it directly makes me worry about the hard drive’s safety. The remote has a power button that doesn’t do anything, which makes me think it’s just a generic remote design. 4). The biggest disappointment for me is how the system handles the hard drive. I’m using a 6TB drive, but the NVR splits it into three partitions (around 1.99TB each, plus one 1.4TB). This seems to be a design limitation. The real issue is that once the partitions are 100% full, video playback completely stops working. Even though overwrite is turned on, there’s no buffer space left for the system to recycle recordings properly. That means you either have to reformat the drive (and lose all your old videos) or take the drive out to back up manually before reformatting. This is a huge hassle and a serious design flaw. It basically makes the overwrite function unreliable and playback unusable once the disk is full. 5). AI Playback is unreliable. As I mentioned above, it sometimes misses motion events altogether. This has caused me to miss deliveries and makes it frustrating when I can’t find videos that I know should have been recorded. Because of this, I decided to lower my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. The cameras and features are solid, but the storage handling, lack of buffer space, and unreliable AI detection are major problems for a system that is supposed to provide reliable security. If OOSSXX can fix the hard drive handling and improve the AI detection in future models or firmware updates, this could be one of the best mid-range systems out there. Easy set up, quality video, reliable.
I set this up at my home. I am not always there and love that at any point I can pull up live video, switch between camera effortlessly, and always found it working. The night vision is very clear, and the night vision leds are very powerful. The software is ip-pro, and seems to be generic, and very basic, but does the job for me. Again, no reliability issues with the system in any part! The cameras are well build and my favorite part is that I did not have to sync them. They worked simply by plugging them in. No instructions, however, a quick search on the internet will find you a video to set it up. The camera were also not marked 1-8 so setting them up and turning them on was random for me. I’m pretty sure I saw you could change the cameras around from the unit, but did not need to. I’d recommend this system.
