From what I hear you can use it to thin just about any acrylic-based paint. However, not sure how the polyurethane in the primer would react. I think a good test would be to mix it up and see. Start with the primer in a mixing cup (couple of drops), then add the airbrush medium a drop at a time (mixing each time and checking consistency, clumping, etc). If you get a good mix without clumps and about the consistency of low-fat milk, you should be able to apply through an airbrush. I would recommend testing on a test plate to see how it adheres before using it on your finish piece!
