I was extremely happy with this purchase, so much that after I bought the first set I went back and purchased 3 more for upcoming holiday gifts! Great deck and the book is absolutely great, especially for beginners! The book give detailed descriptions and meaning on every card, up right and reserved. It also qives a quick descriptions on both as well if you want that as well. Shows spread layouts and meanings. The cards are great and the perfect Rider Waite Smith art! 10/10

This is a must have of your beginner the book it comes with, is so informative literally covers everything from asking questions to spread to almost every meaning of the cards. It’s got information in the back to help you study further, it’s got journaling information and just can’t think of anything it didn’t cover. Packaging is amazing the cards their self are pretty amazing, shuffle wonderfully colors are on point.

This is the classic tarot deck, which - just my humble opinion! - is where the beginner should start. The cards are firm and beautifully printed. The guidebook is nicely organized, very clear, easy to understand, and super-helpful. The storage box keeps everything together and tidy. I'm a beginner myself, and in a very short time I believe I have gained a reasonably good grasp of this tool. Already I feel a connection to this deck. I think it will be with me for a long time. What a useful thing to have for under twelve bucks!

This is a good set with a full color book and a nice version of the classic RWS deck. (I didn’t have any problems with my deck. The cards don’t stick together and I can overhand and riffle shuffle it just fine.) For the sale price, it’s a steal, which is why I got it even though I have plenty of versions of the original RWS deck. The book is good for beginners, and the deck is nice as well. A bit on the thicker side, but I can riffle and overhand shuffle it, so it’s not bad at all. I really like the coloring on this version. Much better than the yellow box version published by US Games. The backs are also much better than those plaid backs. The only thing that bothers me here is the bizarre edit on the Judgement card. I know the “Judgment” spelling is more accepted in the US, which is fine. If the publishers of this deck used their own font for the titles, I could see why that change would be made. But they actually use the original handwritten titles by the artist, which is why I find it weird they went through the trouble of editing the title of the Judgement card by removing the “e.” Such a strange choice! (In the picture, the card on the left is from the Smith-Waite Centennial Tarot, while the card on the right is from this set.)

I purchased this deck to learn how to read tarot cards. Product came in a nice box with a book and instructions on what each card means. Card are identical to the pictures and it is at a great price point. Can’t wait to dive in.

I am new to Tarot and wanted a book & tarot card set to get me started. I researched many books but ordered this one because I liked the simplicity of the layout and the clear, concise descriptions for each card. It also has explanations for how to use the deck including cleansing, shuffling, picking a card, what to ask, etc. All of it is presented in a very easy to understand and practical way that makes it a must for beginners. I appreciate the box it came in but unfortunately it didn’t protect the book from the corner being bent while in transit. I definitely recommend this set to anyone just getting started in tarot.
