Great all around sketchbook, ink and light watercolor friendly!
Great sketchbook. It doesn't matter if you use pencil, fountain pen or marker this sketchbook takes it all. It even can take light watercolor. Highly durable with nice and thick paper. Very portable. Highly recommended for travel. The binding can take some abuse and still survive. Great for practice, or art on the go!

Love this journal
This is by far the best sketchbook/art journal I’ve ever used. The paper holds up very well. I can layer on acrylic paint markers, and ghosting only happens if I over apply the paint. The size is perfect for traveling. Doesn’t work too well with colored pencils, but that’s expected since the paper is smooth. You can use watercolor paint, but the pages may curl. Alcohol markers will bleed. Overall, I’ve been able to use this for most mediums, if careful with the application. I’ve taped some pages together for wetter mediums. It’s held up well over the past year!

A perfect sketchbook
This paper was very smooth and so easy to draw on. The sheets are so thick and are perfect for sketching. This is the perfect gift for a young artist.

Great all-around sketchbook!
I love these sketchbooks. They work pretty well for mixed media. Can’t use too much water, but I’ve used intense and a little water and also some dry brush watercolor. Overall, great affordable and I like the paper quality.

Good sketch book!
Love this sketchbook! The paper is perfect for any medium. For watercolor , as long as its not heavy water use it should be fine. I love the size and the lilac color is pretty. Will buy again!

Pretty Nice
I was looking for a larger sketchbook because i usually use the smaller moleskine Art sketchbooks and have felt the urge to try working bigger, so I bought this one as a recommendation from an artist I enjoy on instagram I have yet to use it, as it just arrived and i am still finishing the last few pages in my previous sketchbook, however I felt there were already some things to note. First thing is that the listing states the paper to be "White", but it is in fact "Off White" and is even mire yellow toned than the moleskine sketchbook i already use. I was really hoping for pure white pages, or at least closer to white. The covers are soft material so they dent pretty easily, but if you're like me you'll just cover them in stickers anyway, so that's not too big of a deal, and it doesn't damage any of the pages on the inside anyway. The sketchbook is layflat, but not always? some of the binding seems a little weird where it doesnt want to lay super flat like other sketchbooks ive used, but doesnt seem to be an issue the further into the pages you get. i haven't tested any of my preferred mediums & colours on the paper yet, but I will come back to edit my review once I've done a few things in it! I'm a little bit scared about the paper thickness because it's a bit lighter than what I'm used to (not by THAT much but still noticeable) For now, I think it's worth it for the price if you don't mind off white paper.

Can handle layering watercolor & water, just not TOOO much water.
Video: My page looks warped beause: The second sheet I used SOOO much water and just finished painting the page 30 minutes before taking the video. The first sheet has flattened a bit after I kept it shut for a few days! - It not being 100% cotton is a plus and I see it as something to push my creativity and skills and it has been fun adapting to this paper. It makes you care less about the book, therefore less pressure in making something good and just encouraging you to create just to create, it doesn't always have to be a masterpiece and it's all about just doing and doing it because it's enjoyable. The paper does warp, but when you keep it closed for a few days it just flattens a bit. And if you don't want it to really warp while painting, just use masking tape around the edges or clips. It doesn't bother me honestly and it doesn't warp like crazy. The book itself is durable, the binding is amazing (make sure to relax the spine before you try and flatten it out forcibly and wonder why your binding is falling apart) It's honestly so fun to do quick watercolor pieces on it. Having SO many pages makes me feel less pressure on what to make in it !

The best value sketchbook that will handle most things you throw at it!
These are my favourite sketchbooks. Hold a surprising amount of different mediums including gouache and watercolour despite having quite thin pages. Not suitable for ‘proper’ watercolour as no sizing etc but will happily take watercolour as part of mixed media spreads etc. Also fine with acrylic ink, acrylics, pencil crayons, brush pens, neocolors etc - some might cause cockling of the the pages which reduces when pressed shut but the pages rarely bleed through (alcohol markers will bleed). Repeat going over with something like a brush pen will pill the pages but they’re surprisingly resilient. Nice smooth pages with a cream tone. Exceptional value for money which makes them low pressure to use unlike more expensive sketchbooks which can feel too precious to get started in. This size is a good little compact size with loads of pages.

My opinion about Talens Art Creation sketchbooks
I have been using Talens Art Creation books for years and they never disappoint me. You can use every typ of medium on it and the papper is nice and smooth. The color is so pretty in person and the size is smaller then I normaly work in but it's fun to change sizes sometimes. Highly recommend this sketchbook!

Great budget friendly sketchbook for beginners and professionals
After hearing a lot of Reviews for these sketchbooks I bought one, and later bought 5 more haha. They’re super nice if you like experimenting with different media, they can handle watercolour pretty well despite the creamy colours of the paper(which I feel is easy on the eyes and you can see white pens well), other media as well like line art pens, acrylic paint pens, paint etc. I havent tested alcohol markers yet but I feel like it would bleed a tiny bit but no issue, you can just cover it with an another illustration on the back with acrylic markers. The pages are creamy in colour and smooth, they aren’t thin but not thick either but no matter, they handle media well. The cover Is harder and flexible, the pages are well sown together so they shouldn’t fall out easily. They open flat so you can easily draw a double page spread. I love how there are so many sizes, big ones and tiny ones you can put in your pocket for travel :). Overall it’s a nice budget friendly sketchbook that is good for artists who want to try something new, I overall recommend.
