Review: The Solution To My Reactive + Sensitive Pits! - I first found Routine after entering my mid twenties. My body was changing and the first signs for me were new skin sensitivities. I had always used drugstore deodorant without any issues until I began experiencing allergic reactions and rashes. I switched to the "sensitive skin" options of my familiar brands and it worked for a while until issues persisted. I went down a rabbit hole of natural deodorants: Lush Cosmetics, Aesop, Malin+Goetz, Crystal Deodorants, etc. Nothing seemed to work long term, until I found Routine :). It's been about two years and four pots of SuperStar (a little goes a long way!!) and we're still going strong with no reactions. While the application from the jar can be an issue for some it is easier than other previously mention brands. Thanks to the cream formula it's also really easy for me to fill a Muji travel pot to make sure I'm never stuck in a stinky situation. In the two years that I've used Routine I've never strayed from SuperStar. Mostly because I feel the ingredients would best suit my situation. Through trial and error I knew I wanted to avoid zinc, aluminum, talcum, talc, and baking soda (it's reduced in this formulation and I feel it's partially neutralized by the magnesium) to avoid more reactions. It keeps me dry yet moisturized while also combatting bacteria and regulating my PH. Not to mention SuperStar does an incredible job of eliminating odor all day long. Which I'm embarrassed to say I didn't think was possible (I was stiiiinky!!). The ONLY issue I encountered when buying this deodorant has already been fixed by desertcart :p. Two years ago the scent's top notes were advertised to be Vanilla, Vetiver, and Musk. I imagined a somewhat sweet/green masculine scent with notes of wood and spice, it is the complete opposite lol. My natural scent leans towards a sweet musk so I disliked sickly sweet scents by association. I'll be honest, I disliked it at first but it surprised me and quickly grew on me. Ultimately, it is a great scent and when wearing it alone I often get compliments. I would describe the smell as a deeply sweet and spicy musk with Cardamom and Patchouli in the forefront of its scent profile. To me the scent is reminiscent of a warm cup of spiced milk like Elaichi Doodh or Arroz Con Leche I'm grateful to have stumbled onto SuperStar and I could not recommend it more. Beyond any doubt it is worth the price. In the end I'm smelling fresh and no longer suffering painful allergic reactions. Not to mention it's saving me money by lasting 6 months and helping me avoid another trip to the dermatologist! Review: This is good for men who don't want to smell bad OR smell like women - Nothing stated this explicitly enough for me - or stressed it enough. I started with their "Like a Boss" scent but on first application it was immediately clear to me that marketing that as for both sexes was wishful thinking or misdirection. That was a feminine scent, period. I saw them say that this, Superstar, was their best seller for men, and one female reviewer said it was spicy and not sweet. So, given desertcart's return policies, I figured I'd risk it. To my strong surprise this is quite spicy (black pepper comes through) and not sweet! It is very pleasant but not floral or sweet at all. I use a vetiver tonka perfume oil for men instead of cologne and this matches really well with it as it has vetiver and tonka as well, but adds black pepper to make it spicier than the perfume oil. My gf immediately said it smelled like a man as much as she agreed the Like a Boss smelled like a woman - I gave it to her in fact. Now here's the kicker - I purposefully didn't bathe for a day to see if it would last 2 days since I was shocked it lasted 24 hours and still had me smelling decent. It didn't indeed last the full additional 24 hours but lasted about an additional 12 hours. This little dab of rub on stuff lasted 36 hours! I didn't work out in that time (or else I would have showered, lol) but I would expect it would get you through a workout (and hopefully you shower after that you dirty rat). I haven't worn it with a white shirt and it does have activated charcoal so it's possible it might stain white or light shirts grey? I will say it smells good without being anything sweet or overpowering at all, smells spicy and earthy, lasts a long time even for a traditional deodorant and ESPECIALLY for a natural one. I'm quite surprised and quite a fan after 3 days. If you're a man looking for natural and effective deodorant you should try this.

FIVE MONTHS LATER...this jar is 1/2 full. (And I need really strong deodorant!)
Ok, so I was really uninterested in spending a million dollars on deodorant, but after trying a tiny sample from a local store, I decided to make the "investment". Holy crap, people, am I glad I did. First off, this smells incredible. I'm a single mom, and my girlfriends and I joke that any time I feel lonely, I just put some of this on and am the happiest camper in the world. Second, it actually works. I wasted a lot of money on every kind of natural deodorant I could find, and they either didn't work for more than a couple of hours, felt "soapy" (one of them literally lathered on my armpit hair...shudder), or gave me horrible rashes. My skin isn't even that sensitive, but the ingredients in others literally gave me allergic reactions. Some of them actually bleached my armpit hair, no joke. Routine does non of this. And I really love how soft it feels after applying. Third, it has lasted me forever. I went to use it this morning, and wondered how long it's been since I purchased. Lo and behold, I ordered this FIVE months ago. Five. What?! I go through normal deodorant really quickly; pregnancy hormones threw me off, as has my IUD. I don't need to use more than a small swipe for each pit, and it lasts all day. If I'm super active, I might reapply it once during that day. (I also wash my armpits with an incredible natural tea tree wash by Purely Northwest that is specifically for armpits, feet and skin irritation; initially I purchased it to help with mosquito bites last summer, and realized it's kind of magic. Between the two of these,I only need to apply deodorant maybe once every other day at most. THIS WAS NEVER THE CASE, PEOPLE.) A girlfriend of mine tried this brand in two different scents / formulas, and hated them. She went through both in a month each; I'm not sure how that happened, and can't speak to any of them besides Superstar and Moon Sisters. I know hers were heavy on citrus, and we both sweat the same amount and need the same strength of deodorant. All that to say in my personal experience, I absolutely love this product, and will continue to use it. The price point is way worth it, and I really love taking care of my body without using weird chemicals or smelling like an old goat. (Check out Purely Northwest's tea tree wash also if you need extra support.)

Great an it works but a bit pricey
Itโs a great product and I keep buying it because it does what it spouse to do. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because of it is a bit expensive!

Perfect replacement for standard deodorants.
For years I have been using the standard stick style solid deodorants that although effective they were not entirely healthy and did cause occasional side effects like clogged pores and rashes. I tried many organic and natural products most all of which just led me down the opposite path to failure. Some of these products either just did not work or had horrible side effects much worse than the standard stick style deodorants. Eventually I ended up trying the Routine product and there I found something that worked and did not cause any skin irritation. This product does take some getting used to. It is a dark colored cream and requires one to be exacting in its application to the skin. It is a bit messy but with some practice one gets used to the application method. I use this product on various other places on my body and it has a really nice masculine scent (Superstar) to it. It lasts several hours and gets me through most days with just a single application. I find a nice balance to this product and it has become my new standard in my daily personal hygiene. It is a bit pricey but one jar will last me several months. I am very picky and particular about any product that touches my sensitive skin so I am quite happy to report this one is a keeper!
