The star rating reflects functionality and value for the money rather than whether or not it seems like a premium product. We paid around $50 for this. Which is (as you might know) very inexpensive for a paper shredder. The fact that it even works for this price is an accomplishment. It's very basic and some aspects of it reveal the fact that it's a budget model. There are few frills and the material of the collection bin looks and feels cheap and flimsy. But it only needs to exist and collect shredded paper. It does that. The reason I bought this one rather than a higher priced model is that the people who use it have gone through much more expensive shredders in less than a year. I did not test this thing to it's limit. It will shred a few pages at a time with little trouble. It bogs down a bit if you put in more than a few. I personally would not try 12 sheets but it might handle it for all I know. It has not jammed yet but pretty much any shredder is capable of jamming under certain circumstances. If you don't expect a premium product at an extreme budget price, you'll probably be satisfied with this.

This shredder works great for home use. It shreds paper, credit cards, and even stapled documents without any problems. It's easy to use, and I like the clear window on the bin so I can see when it's getting full. It can be a little noisy, but it gets the job done well. Overall, it's a reliable shredder and a good value for the price.

Great little shredder. Yeah, it’s loud when running but it gets the job done. So far I’ve tried single sheets, five at a time, folded papers, stapled papers, and credit cards. All went through fine, though the thicker batches I do have to kind of push through the feeder. I have not found any jamming issues so far. It’s great for regular home use or small home business. It’s small enough that I keep it in a corner and bring it out when needed. It’s very easy to use and I just dump the shreds in the regular trash when the bin is full.

Very happy with this shredder. I might eventually purchase a larger Bonsaii (takes more sheets), but this shredder does the job nicely. Well made, very easy to use, sturdy, and does a great job. Done papers with staples, credit cards, without any issues. Plus it's the perfect size to dump shredded paper into a standard kitchen sized basket/bin with ease. Been using it for a couple of months now.

Bought this to replace a shredder I had had for about 15 years. I put too many in my old one, and the engine burned out. Got this one. While it can't handle the number of pages of my old one, it is sufficient. Love the lifting handle for when I need to empty the bin. Overall I am satisfied. It does what I need it to do. And, so far no jams. And the price was good.

This shredder is incredibly robust and extremely efficient. I've owned a couple of different brands over the years, but this is by far the best one I've ever used. One of its biggest advantages is its excellent run time. Unlike other shredders I've owned, it doesn't constantly stop to cool down, allowing you to work through a large pile of unwanted documents without endless interruptions. Good quality is first thing I noticed. It shred 7 pages no issue. I like the larger bin than my old one. Don’t have to empty as often and it shreds paper smaller bits than my old one. I recommend.
