It’s great
The product you are showing is a Kryptonite brand U-lock, most likely a Kryptolok model, which includes an extra cable and a carrying bracket. Kryptonite Kryptolok U-Lock with Cable Review The Kryptonite Kryptolok is one of the most recognized bike locks due to its combination of security, durability, and ease of use. Here is a detailed review: Design and Construction The Kryptolok U-Lock is designed to be tough and reliable. The main body of the U-lock is made of hardened steel, making it difficult to cut with hand tools such as bolt cutters. Its size is suitable for locking both the bike frame and a wheel, providing excellent protection in urban or high-risk areas. Extra Cable The package includes a flexible steel cable that can be used to secure the front wheel or any additional accessories, adding an extra layer of security. While the cable isn't as robust as the U-lock, it's a useful addition to protect various bike components. Locking Mechanism The lock features a double locking system that secures both ends of the U-bar, increasing its resistance to twisting attacks. It also comes with two keys, which is handy in case you lose one. Carrying Bracket The included bracket allows the lock to be carried on the bike frame without any problems, which is ideal for cyclists who prefer not to carry the lock in a backpack or bag. It's easy to install and keeps the lock secure during the ride. Pros: • High resistance to cutting and theft attempts. • Includes an additional cable for added versatility. • Easy to transport thanks to the bracket. • Good balance between price and security. Cons: • The weight can be a bit high, although this is normal for locks of this type. • The cable is not as secure as the U-lock for protecting more expensive components. Final Verdict The Kryptonite Kryptolok is a solid choice for those looking for a high-quality, high-security lock for their bike, especially in combination with the additional cable. It is ideal for urban areas where the risk of theft is higher.

Bike Lock that Secures Your Mind
One of the most user friendly locks I've seen that leaves you without worrying if your bike would be stolen. Even though the width of the bar is thin it seems very dense which might help in case an unexperienced thief tries to break it. Unlocking this bike with the key that is given is easy and doesn't require that much of a struggle. All in all, its an affordable lock that gives you more than what you pay for.

Good but ATP warrant is NOT free
I like this lock, the sturdiness, and confidence they have in it. Right off the bat though, I was not happy that I was deceived about the "anti-theft protection warranty". It COSTS ADDITIONAL. I mean this makes sense, but the advertising was deceptive and perceived it to be included. In fact pretty much the only reason I spent more on this was because I thought I was getting that. I probably would have just bought a cheaper one if I realized. I do like the design and features, and the extra 4ft cable is a must for commuters. One other complaint is that sometimes the key doesn't seem to want to work. I cant quite figure out when it happens but I think sometimes If you start turning the key when it's not 100% inserted, it might turn part of the lock and then you get into this weird limbo where you can't open it even if you reinsert it all the way and keep wiggling it. Eventually it just opens with enough tries. This has only happened a few times and it eventually resolves itself, but still annoying. Like I said, I think it is probably carelessness when inserting the key, but still odd. Overall with my complaints, it is still a great lock, but perhaps a bit pricey.

Nice , it can lock up my 2 bikes and it’s weather durable .
I can review this based on the durability, as it has gone through rain, snow, heat and cold. As for holding up against what thieves could do to it; well… for that, I wouldn’t be the review for you to check. Ive had it for more than 3 or 4 years and well .. i still have it . I am able to lock my 2 bikes with one lock .

Great lock! Use WD40 and teflon chain lube if it gets stuck/hard to turn key
This lock is so good. I'm coming from the Evolution model which I loved and secured my bike, but someone stole the entire rack it was locked to and the price went up so I went with this model lock instead. The mounting adapter that goes onto your bike is great! I keep the lock clipped to it as I ride around, the key goes on my key ring and it fits well and keeps my bike secure. I did have some trouble using the key or undoing the lock, so I sprayed some WD40 on the part that comes apart and in the keyhole. Then I used teflon dry bike chain lube on the same parts and in the keyhole, put the key in there and turned it a bunch. Now it works perfectly and is easy to lock or unlock! If you need a solid U-Lock with a bike frame mount - THIS IS THE ONE!

Easy to use.
Fits around my electric bike frame and tire. Use the cable to go around front tire and frame.

Appears durable, maybe not best size for Lectric XP 3.0 though
We mounted these to our Lectric XP 3.0. Because of the awkwardness of the ebike frame, we should have went with a wider and/or longer lock. It isn't long enough to really lock a wheel real good, and isn't wide enough to secure the step through mid frame. This would be a good secondary lock for the XP 3.0, but not the primary. The supplied mount works great and keeps the lock in place when we travel.

Good solid secure lock at a reasonable price.
It's heavy - in a good way. Good reputation. Hard to pick, Nice size - 4"x 9" ID. Comes with a nice size steel cable to secure the wheel E.g. Interesting key design should be quite secure. The key action seems a little glitchy but it smoothed out after working the key back and forth for a while. I also oiled it liberally and that REALLY helped to smooth out the action. Also comes with a robust plastic bracket to hang the lock on when you're out and about. Seems to work well. I bought this to secure my new Segway Ninebot Max. I will update review if things change. I've only had it for one day so far. There is theft insurance available with this lock up to $1750, but you have to pay for it. $9.99 for one year, $29.99 for 5 Years. Anyway, for the money I don't think you can do much better. Recommended.

Pros and cons
Well, my bike hasnt been stolen yet so thats a PLUS. There are a few CONS I'd flag for potential customers considering this lock: 1. The U-lock itself could do with being an inch wider; on many occasions it simply wont fit around a regular pole/post when you angle the lock to catch the frame and forks at the same time. 2. The wire rope could do with being a little longer as well, to make it easier to catch the front wheel and thread it through the U-lock. 3. The key sticks in the lock quite often and you have to coax it a bit or spit on it to get it fully seated in the barrel so it ill turn 4. The mount is poorly designed. It secures around the frame or saddle post with a strapping and just one allen bolt. This is insufficient and leads to the mount sliding and falling with any vibration from the road. Drives me mad. Anyway, they have a good reputation and I imagine that alone is a deterrent for potential thieves so thats good but if you want quick and easy locking, this isn't the lock for you.

Feels secure and reliable, worth the extra weight
This is a seriously solid lock that gives you a real sense of security. The U lock alone is thick, heavy, and feels virtually tamper-proof. The included flex cable is a great addition, giving you more options to loop through your wheels or around awkward railings or posts. I’ve used it to lock both my frame and rear wheel with the U lock and then looped the cable through the front wheel. That versatility makes a big difference in urban areas where secure anchor points aren’t always ideal. While it is heavier than cheaper alternatives, the added weight feels justified by the protection it offers. I’d much rather carry a little extra bulk than come back to a missing bike. The lock mechanism is smooth, and the key turns easily without sticking, which I appreciate after past frustrations with cheaper locks. Pros: Heavy-duty and high quality Flexible locking options with included cable Smooth key operation Cons: A bit bulky for smaller backpacks It might be overkill for low-crime areas

Very suitable for e-bike in regional Australia
I bought this to lock up my new e-bike, which is vastly more expensive than the ancient MTB it replaced. I wanted a lock that was secure enough that I could leave the bike outside a shopping centre, for example. According to the registration page for Kryptonite, this is a v.1 Kryptolock. The listing doesn't say which version it is. The lock is solid, strong, and large enough to fit around my large tyres, through the chunky back frame, and around a bike stand, locking the bike securely to the stand. The cable is long enough to loop through the front wheel and around the lock, providing you loop it properly. The result seems really secure, so casual thieves (which seem to be the norm in my city) won't take a second glance. Be aware that better equipped thieves can cut through both lock and cable quickly, so it may not work in a big city. My bike's frame doesn't have room to mount the lock, so I can't comment on the mount. I carry the lock and cable in my backpack and they are not too heavy for that. One common complaint is the key getting stuck part way in and so not turning. I did struggle with this twice, and a bit of silicon spray lubricant sorted it out quick-smart. I always close the protection tab over the keyhole, but regular silicon lubricant is clearly needed. With that the key is smooth and easy to use. This lock has so far been exactly what I hoped for. If I move to a more insecure area I would order a higher security lock, but why spend more money when you don't need to?
