Anger.
Books are beautiful but one of them is printed back to front and it’s angered me incredibly. How am i to look like a top tier scholar for all the ladies if i’m reading my Shakespeare books upside down? What a disgrace.

Not the complete collection.
Whilst this set is beautiful, I am a bit disappointed that a 6 volume collection only contains 15 of his plays, and not all 37.

I've always wanted to read Shakespeare and getting this foundational volume was a great idea. Books have a nice cover, durable and come in a sturdy shell. I starting reading A Midsummer Nights Dream and although the print is smaller than desired, it is readable and the text is laid out how expected it to be. I am looking forward to getting to know Shakespeare's classic works and I recommend this volume set to anyone who is also new to the famous writer.

Die Reihe war ein Geschenk und ist gut angekommen. Das Design ist ansprechend und wichtig zu sagen ist, dass es in aktueller Schrift ist.

I am so happy to acquire this for reading and for rereading! Although it has tiny print, any set of affordable reading glasses would accommodate. Contains the following::: The Comedies Vol. 1— A Midsummer Night’s Dream Much Ado about Nothing As You Like It The Comedies Vol. 2— The Merchant of Venice Twelfth Night The Tempest The Tragedies Vol. 1— Hamlet Othello Macbeth The Tragedies Vol. 2— Romeo and Juliet King Lear The Histories Vol. 1— Henry IV, Part One Henry IV, Part Two The Histories Vol. 2— Henry V Richard III Each physical book also includes an introduction, and for each play a glossary and endnotes. Something that thrills me about these editions::: NO FOOTNOTES!!! Footnotes are THE most distracting thing from enjoying Shakespeare, in my humble opinion. They don't really add to the experience, they only take away from it. The gist of his meanings is far more likable TO ME without them!!! Furthermore, there aren't even any in-text markups for the endnotes!!! They just magically appear at the end. How excellent!!! I was at first concerned that the boxed set: 1. lacks TAMING OF THE SHREW and JULIUS CAESAR. 2. breaks up the four plays of the Henriad and the four plays of the War of the Roses (eight plays reduced to four). 3. has tiny print. But maybe TAMING isn't the classic I want it to be: it is somewhat sexist. JULIUS CAESAR is a loss, but the thrust of the English kings, in its place, seems like a cohesive whole, when you consider that the Henriad is more popular than the War of the Roses, the character of Hal (Henry V) not being in RICHARD the SECOND--the prequel. And, of course, RICHARD the THIRD is very, very popular. And how does one include JULIUS without also needing to include ANTONY & CLEOPATRA, its sequel? About the tiny print ... it's frustrating, yes, but once I find the perfect pair of reading glasses, I predict smooth sailing, my friends! They make readers as weak as 1.25x, and their main function, with the addition of sharpening an image, is magnifying it. Here is the order of the Henriad and the War of the Roses (in this boxed set they are only half present--I put a star beside them): The Henriad: (Overlapping with the Hundred Years War) (RICHARD II) *HENRY IV, PART ONE *HENRY IV, PART TWO *HENRY V The War of the Roses: (Also overlapping with the Hundred Years War) (HENRY VI, PART ONE) (HENRY VI, PART TWO) (HENRY VI, PART THREE) *RICHARD III Now, if you want to really enjoy your Shakespeare, I recommend after reading ALL of these, or even the HALF that are included, going to your streaming TV services and searching for the Hollow Crown, an epic, visually stunning 7-part miniseries that covers all eight plays (combining the three HENRY VI's into just two episodes). The impeccable acting features the talents of Jeremy Irons (THE MISSION, THE LION KING, THE MAN IN THE IRON MASK), Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers, Loki), and Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock, THE IMITATION GAME, Doctor Strange, The Hobbit: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG). Happy reading, happy viewing, and good luck!
