Lovely tap, well made and looks great. It had a different bottom screw type to our old tap. This was a lot bigger and lead to the 10 minute job of swapping them out, becoming a lot more involved needing to make adaptions to cabinet below and pull sink out of place to make indents into worktop. However, due to this it is much more secure than the tap put in by the water filtration company upon installation. Well worth the hassle we had when installing it in our space.

Bought to replace an old plasticky one that came with our water softener system as a salt free bypass tap. This new tap is way better, feels nice to use and looks smart and functional. Only downer was the supplied 3/8" quick connector leaked badly on installation and I had to source another one locally that worked properly and cost me another £4. Tap great, cheap connector, not so much.

Straightforward to set up and the fittings are good quality. The water tastes much fresher right away, and the kit feels solid and reliable. Great value for a complete filter system

I purchased this tap as a replacement for an existing filtered water tap that had failed. The tap being replaced was purchased from our water softener installer and self installed, it was more expensive than this one. Due to the cost of this tap I wasn’t expecting the world. However….. This tap was delivered and I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. The build quality is superb, the finish of the metal work is a satin brushed stainless steel, and it is significantly more robust and just feels like it will last longer than its predecessor. It is also supplied with push fit adapters to fit various feed piper diameters. Aside from the build quality and supplied fittings, the packaging is excellent. The branded box contained a fabric bag that contains the tap itself, this I presume was done to ensure that tap arrived scratches free and looking exactly as the pictures portray. I don’t usually write reviews, let alone to this length or detail, however I genuinely feel that the vendor has got this spot on, Whilst I don’t want them to put the price up, it would have easily justified extra cost, especially compared to its predecessor. It included all the relevant fittings making installation a breeze, and whilst it’s only been installed a couple of weeks I have every confidence it will last. Highly recommended if you are looking for a drop in replacement for a drinking water bypass for a softened water system.

Came well packaged, with a printed installation guide. The way I’ve positioned it (see photo), with the lever on the left, you push it away from you to turn it on, so if you want to pull it towards you, which is probably more natural, you need to twist the whole tap 180deg to put the lever on the right. The thumb-turn fixing was much easier than the nut on the tap I was replacing (which was very awkward to get to with a spanner). I couldn’t tighten it up enough from underneath, but I instead twisted the tap itself the last ¾ of a clockwise turn, while the thumb-turn gripped by itself underneath. The push-fit connector supplied was also much easier than the compression joint on the old tap (another spanner job!). Contrary to the description, it does not incorporate reverse osmosis filtering, as it is just a tap. It is also described as having both a ball valve and a ceramic disk, but it feels just like a ceramic disk to me. Mine has a much longer tail than shown (see my photo), so is probably an improved model and could easily fit a 25mm worktop — compare some other reviews. And one photo in the listing shows water coming out when the lever is upright, but this is not true to life: the up position is off.

Not as conveniently designed as some other filter taps due to one having hold the tap down to dispense the filtered water.. BWT filter cartridges are expensive and no stocked by many retailers
