Keracolor Color + Clenditioner, Semi-Permanent Hair Color, 23 Shades

I am new to KeraColor color depositing conditioners. They work best with hair that has been treated with a semi permanent hair color. I recommend Joico Color Intensity hair colors. You can apply this to natural hair, though. The color is more intense on blonde hair. I would not recommend this for brown or black hair. There is a color swatch on the back of the bottle. This is very helpful. It shows you the typical outcome based upon the number of applications. To maintain a more intense color, I would use it 75% of the time. I say 75% because everyone has a different hair washing schedule. Use it 50% of the time for less drama and 25% for subtle color. The packaging was well thought out. The nozzle on the bottle was close shut. It had never been used. The nozzle was also taped down. The bottle was wrapped in bubble wrap and then placed inside a box with a few "air pouches". The bottle itself is cute!! It's white with a sticker label. So, if you leave the bottle in your shower (like I do) it still looks classy. The bottle is rectangle in shape. This is really great because round bottles easily slip out of your hand in the shower. The nozzle can be wound down into the bottle for secure storage. I like this because I can throw this in my gym bag and not worry with staining or spillage. On a side note, I love the bottle so much I plan to remove the labels and use them for other things. Now for the review of this product and the color. I found my results were closely in line with the swatches on the back of the bottle. The conditioner did not stain my hands or nails. You will see a bit of color while showering, but it washes away. The conditioner smells great. I applied the conditioner in the shower. I try to remove as much water as possible before applying. I run the product from the crown to the ends and then secure the hair on top of my head. The product stays in for 3 to 5 minutes. For the maximum intensity, apply to dry hair that is clean. Let the product sit for about 15 minutes and then rinse. For maximum benefit, wash your hair in cold water and wash only if needed. Unless your hair is super caked with product, apply shampoo to your roots and lather it up. Use your hand to bring the foam down to your crown mid hair, then rinse it out. There's no need to shampoo your ends. The product works as designed. The outcome aligns with the swatches on the back of the bottle. The price point is a bit better than overtone. I hope they expand the line to offer more colors. My only delta would be the detangling factor. I find I need a detangling spray for my hair, but I have curly semi-frizzy hair. I still need a hair mask once a week, despite allowing my hair to air dry 90% of the time. Keep in mind though the main reason you purchase this product is for the color deposit, which it effectively executes.

I’ve been using it for almost four years now, and it works wonders keeping my fashion colors vibrant. I dye my hair royal purple once every six weeks or so, and this stuff keeps it from drastically fading over that time. There is going to be some fading near the end of the six weeks, but that could also be because I’m cheap and don’t like using a lot at once. It says you can use it as a 2-in-1, but I always shampoo first anyway, and it keeps my colored hair fresh, soft, and vibrant. Plus, it always lasts me a while (probably because again, I don’t use much, and my hair is very short), and $22 is way cheaper than redyeing every two weeks, so it’s worth the price to me.

I absolutely love this "clenditioner". I'll start with the only con, just to be upfront. It did very little to change my color or help make it darker. I had dyed hair already, mostly red but with violet tones, a nice burgundy. The purple tones faded very quickly so I bought this in hopes it would punch it up. It didn't have much of an effect. That said, it is great for *Maintaining* color, as I faded much slower after starting to use this product. It has several pros other than the color maintenance. It smells absolutely amazing, and leaves my hair feeling very soft and very clean. Most conditioners leave my hair feeling heavy and oily, and I've tried easily a dozen trying to find the right one. This one leaves my hair feeling great. Even better, it does actually help clean a bit. I recently used a semi permanent dye of blue and purple (manic panic) which comes out much more quickly if you use shampoo. With this clenditioner I was able to skip the shampoo and still have my hair feel clean. It's not as effective as shampoo, as I can normally go 3 full days between hair washes without bad oilyness, and with this I max out at 2. That said, it still means my temp hair dye lasts much better, without my hair feeling gross. Overall, I def wouldn't use it to actually color my hair or even boost a faded dye job, but it's awesome for maintaining a color if you use it instead of or with normal shampoo. It smells AMAZING and leaves hair feeling clean and soft.

My natural hair color is a medium brown and was completely virgin at time of application). I purchased the purple wash and applied it to dry hair for 40 minutes (lost track of time while I was working) and rinsed. The second photo shows 1 wash as today is the first day I've used it. It's much darker than I originally wanted, but I think I actually like it MORE that way. Still, I ordered the silver and plan to blend the 2 in subsequent washes to hopefully lighten the purple a bit and will update my review once I have. The smell was really nice, my hair feels soft, it DID stain my hands but that doesn't really bother me. Overall very pleased! EDIT: I included a side by side of the 1st wash of just the purple and then a wash with the purple and silver belended (applied to dry hair and set for half an hour). The silver warmed and lightened the tone and i like it even more now! Edit2: I've washed my hair about 5 or so times now and have not reapplied any of the color and I feel as though it has almost completely washed out (stand alone photo) I would have liked it to last a little longer but I do understand its meant to build over time. It was still fun to play with but I think the fact that I've had no processing done to my hair makes it much harder for the color to latch on and persist.

I am really happy with this product! I am a long-time Overtone customer, but their recent product change of Vivid Violet turned my purple hair blue. I was looking for a product to achieve purple hair that was easy to apply and wouldn’t stain my white tile shower. Keracolor is it!! It gave me a nice color, made my hair feel great, and smells nice as well. I am so pleased!

I recently got highlights in my medium to dark brown hair, they are a dark blonde color that was toned to be more ashy. Closer to my roots though, the color is more coppery. I have been wanting to experiment with very ashy, silver or grey tones in my hair. I bought both the silver blue and blue to try out. The silver blue definitely made my highlights cooler, but did not touch the coppery parts, but I figured it wouldn't. The blue made the coppery parts cooler and gave a noticeable blue tint to my highlights after 1 USE, so this product definitely does work. However, it seems like once you apply the product, the color gets deposited in that portion only. Like you cannot apply to your scalp area and pull the color down while scrubbing, the color will be where you first put the conditioner and if you do try to spread out the product, you only spread conditioner, not color. You cannot comb through to the ends and expect colored ends, in my experience. So the color ended up pretty patchy on me with the blue concentrated where I put the most product, which is on top my head. I feel like I could probably get even color if I really pay very close attention to where i'm applying the clenditioner and use a lot more product. I'll probably try mixing the blue and silver blue, to hopefully still get cooling, silvery results with less noticeable variation in different parts if my head. Another problem: while this product does not seem to be super drying like i've experienced with shimmer lights and other depositing products, which is good, I find myself needing to use another conditioner after this. I'm not sure if this affects the color results I get, maybe this is why it's patchy, because the ends are getting a conditioner with cones on after I cleanse (if you've found this to be the case, please let me know). I spend more time in the shower when I use cleansing conditioners anyway, leaving it sit on my hair for conditioning and color, and I'd prefer to not have to use another conditioner on top of this. I'll play around and update if I get better results.

AMAZING!! I had made the mistake of buying a different semi permanent hair dye and the 1st picture was the result. Just AWFUL!! I'm actually crying in that photo, because my hair looked like a unicorn took a dump on my head. Just 1 wash with the KeraColor, my hair was purple!! It made my hair softer, & didn't leave residue. It also smells incredible!! 3 RECOMMENDATIONS: If it's your 1st time using this, leave it on for a bit. It won't damage your hair, it actually seems to soften it even further. 2nd, don't lather it when you put it on. Just apply it like you would normal hair color. Lathering it, will make it foam up, making it less potent. 3rd, WEAR GLOVES, DON'T USE ON OR NEAR ANY SURFACE YOU DON'T WANT STAINED. Thankfully I didn't stain anything but an old towel, & a shirt I use for dying my hair, but I know it will stain surfaces. I am sooooooo soooooo happy I found this stuff. I grew tired of bleaching and damaging my hair. This stuff, though a bit pricey compared to a box of drug store hair dye, is WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!! Won't have to strip my hair again.

Love it to maintain color between salon visits. The hair around my face is grey while the back is still dark brown. I started getting streaks of purple to mask some of the grey. My hair doesn’t hold the permanent color for very long and re-coloring every 2-3 weeks was getting expensive. I only streak it through the grey at my face. I use the purple but it mostly comes our lavender with some hotter purple highlights.

Highly recommend using this if you've coloured your hair helps hold the colour longer

I love these colour conditioner/masks! I’ve tried the purple and rose gold. The purple is super vibrant and so far has lasted a while. The rose gold was nice and much softer colour. My hair is platinum blonde and soaks up the colour really well.

Yo me lo aplico en mi cabello seco y lo dejo actuar de 40 a 50 minutos y luego lo enjuagó con agua fría para mejores resultados. La entrega fue en el día que decía Amazon, llegaron en perfecto estado.
