## Description

If you are an avid saltwater angler, look no further! The KastKing Kapstan Elite Saltwater Spinning Reels are built to last and are an exceptional value. The innovative design and construction are over-engineered to perform in all conditions. IPX6 Waterproof, strong and smooth, this reel will be a welcomed addition to any saltwater angler’s fishing arsenal.

## Features

- DESIGNED FOR SALTWATER FISHING: Specially designed for offshore saltwater fishing. The Kapstan Elite reel is KastKing highest level 100% waterproof fishing reel at IPX6 level, with up to 15 EverSeal rubber rings to prevent water from entering the main gear. The KastKing Intrusion Shield system features labyrinth-style greased sealing grooves that reduce rotational resistance and provide an innovative watertight seal.
- EXCEPTIONAL STRENGTH & SMOOTH - This premium reel is designed with powerful braking force for winding big fish. The 3000/4000 sizes have an ultra smooth three-disc carbon fiber drag system and a maximum drag of 30 lbs; 5000/6000 have a four-disc carbon fiber brake system with a maximum drag of 40 lbs; 8000 have a special double drag system, which consists of five front fibre discs carbon and an oversized carbon disc, to provide 2,49 kg maximum drag. Perfect for wet big fish.
- SUPER STRONG ALUMINUM BODY - Maximum strength CNC aluminum frame. Sizes 3000/4000 have a carbon fiber rotor for strength with reduced weight. Sizes 5000/6000/8000 have CNC aluminum rotor for extra strong and powerful fishing. The large power handle and knob are machined from solid aluminum to provide incredible starting power. This reel has the strongest overall design for sport sea fishing, deep water fishing and blue water fishing.
- ULTRA SMOOTH & RELIABLE - Each Kapstan Elite reel is equipped with 6 double-shielded stainless steel ball bearings that provide a superbly smooth feel even in harsh conditions. Plus a specially designed polymer roller bearing that is high strength and will not rust, and an 8-pin stainless steel unidirectional bearing to prevent the flywheel from backing off.
- Aerospace Grade Gears: HRB 90 high strength aerospace alloy sprocket with manganese brass gear ensure extreme durability and smooth operation. These heavy duty gears are 20% more durable than aluminum and 95% more durable than zinc alloys. And the high-capacity CNC aluminum spool has a braid-ready structure, so there is no need to braid the back when winding.
- Attention: To reduce line twisting, we always recommend manually closing the bail arm after casting when using a reel. However, on Kapstan Elite Spinning reels of size 3000 and 4000, you can turn the handle to close the bail if you prefer. The Kapstan Elite reels of size 5000/6000 and 8000 have a different design. These coils require you to manually close the bail to begin recovery.
- Note: turning the handle will not automatically close the bail. This is a performance feature on large saltwater reels and not a defect in design. Simply do your cast and manually close the bail to begin your recovery.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Are the KastKing kapstan Elite spinning reels all manual bail designs?**
A: No, To reduce line twist, we always recommend manually closing the bail arm after making a cast when using any spinning reel. However, on the size 3000 & 4000 Kapstan Elite Spinning reels is automatic bail trip, you can turn the handle to close the bail if you prefer. The size 5000/6000/8000 Kapstan Elite spinning reels are a different design, which require you to manually close the bail to begin the retrieve.

**Q: why won't it cast more than about 30 feet for me with heavy lure and makes a lot of news on retrieve using 20 lb test?**
A: Depends on what type of rod you are using. Need to be sure that you are using a spinning rod and not a casting rod. The difference is spinning rods have bigger eyes at the reel end and they get smaller as they go towards the tip. Bait casting rods have small eyes all the way down. Are you flipping the bell ? If you have all of this correct then apparently there is a problem with the reel. I love mine and I use it for surf fishing. I cast mine 200 feet with a 4 ounce weight and leader easy

**Q: So are the bearings double sealed or shielded?**
A: I don't know... I didn't disect them... I'm sending them both back due to the line lay... they offered washers to correct it but I've never had to do that before on any reel and I don't feel it'd right that they don't mention the washers in their description of the reels... It would have saved me the trouble of sending them back because I wouldn't have ordered the reels..

**Q: Is the 3000 really 13.9 oz in weight? That seems heavy to me.**
A: The weight is accurate. I have paired mine with a 7'0" Kastking Estuary MH rod.
