A Must Read for any Soul Searcher
This book starts with a nicely put together chronology of an almost six- thousand years in the history of Kabbalah before moving on to talk about the teachings of this ancient wisdom. The writer talks about his own experience of coming to Kabbalah, after a long search, to study with one of the last renown Kabbalist, Baal HaSulam’s son, Baruch Aslag (Rabash). The book is not meant for a quick read, but it reads nicely, easy to follow and understand such a deep subject. I would recommend putting aside some quiet time to savor reading it and really appreciate what it is trying to say. I found the book’s explanation of the spiritual development, the path to the evolution of human soul and mankind's coming to search for spirituality absolutely fascinating; certainly, the best explanation I have come across that one can relate to from a personal perspective and life experiences. It is definitely, a must- read for the serious searcher out there and for all those who, increasingly, catch themselves wondering about: "so, what next"!

EIN SOPH The Endless World
Awakening To The Kabbalah is as fine an introduction to Kabbalah as any. The Hebrew terminology is kept to a minimum, and the textreinforces key points, so that by the end of chapter seven, you feel confident about tackling a more complex text.Kabbalah is Jewish mysticism. It states that the Torah can be understood at a deeper level. It is about realizing that humans havedesires such as sex, money, respect, knowledge; and finally the desire for spirituality. Kabbalah states that all desires belongto this world, whereas the desire for spirituality comes from the upper world of the Creator. The soul has fallen to the depths of the corporeal world. It requires correction of it's 613 desires to rise to the state before the fall.Kabbalah is now open to everyone to study. In older times, men had to be above the age of forty to study.I personally think you should take the opportunity to learn - now that Kabbalah is open to the world.

The merits of Kabbalah studies!
I own many books on Kabbalah, but this book has really contributed greatly to my progress with my spiritual perspectives. I am currently taking an online course with Rav Laitman, and this book has helped me organize my thinking related to the course materials. The complexities of Kabbalah are becoming manageable and rational. I am finding that the study of Kabbalah is leading toward a calmer perspective on life. The goals of studying Kabbalah are noble and unselfish. Well worth the investment of time!

Up for an experiment in self-improvement?
I first bought and read this book 8 years ago. By happenstance I picked it up and scanned the passages I highlighted and the notes I scrawled in the margins. Eight years ago I read it primarily as an "historical" text - fascinated by the Kabbalistic interpretations of the biblical cast of characters.Scanning soon became absorbed reading, This time around my impressions are personal, as though the characters are alive in ME. They're no longer objective events but subjective sensations. It's hard to explain. Dr. Laitman writes that genuine books of Kabbalah improve readers, making them feel something new.I can testify to the same.Want to feel something new? Give it a read. The Kabbalah Dr. Laitman writes about is a "science." The main precept of any scientific endeavor is that experimental results are reproducible. I DO feel change. And it's good. Maybe I'm improving???

What was amazing about this book for me is that finally I ...
What was amazing about this book for me is that finally I found the answers to my simple questions. What is Kabbalah really about? What is there for me? Why do I need it? There are so many books on Kabbalah but I couldn’t connect to them or understand the jest of the subject matter. Here, I found the book that speaks in a contemporary, simple, logical language on the matters so important to us all. If you are like me, want to discover what is Kabbalah, this is definitely the book to start with because it will send you in the right direction.

This book is a must for anyone looking for spirituality ...
This book is a must for anyone looking for spirituality, anyone who hasn't found meaning in the mundane pleasures of life. Nothing to do with what you normally associate the word "Kabbalah" with. If you are looking for red strings, holy water and the likes, this is not for you. The author guides you through exactly what you have been feeling and introduces you to a method unlike anything I've yet encountered. It will be interesting to see where this path leads but I have a sensation it is to a place unlike any other. Don't miss out, read this and see for yourself.

Excellent Intro Text
This is perhaps one of Rav Laitman's most approachable works. In it, Rav Laitman discusses the history of Kabbalah, the development of the method of study, the fundamental challenges to the effective study of Kabbalah, and provides a little insight into the age old question "What is the meaning of my life?" - to which he would reply "Adhesion to the Creator."The writing is extremely easy to digest, and the heavy duty technical aspects found in some of Rav Laitman's books are not really present here. Each concept is pretty thoroughly described and explained, and the text leaves you questing for more. A necessary addition to any library on the subject.

Kabaalah for beginners
I truly recommend this book to all the people like me, who has the interest in jewish holy books. The kaballah is the most mysterious of all jewish book that supposedly engulfs the wisdom of world dominance, gods will. For that reason only is intriguing and I advice you all starting for this kind of preparatory books before read the dense masterpieces.
