The product works well in our recipe and tastes great. I think it's a little pricey for buying a bag of "tempura dripping leftovers", but my recipe doesn't call for a lot to be mixed into the batter so the bag should last for awhile. The Tenkatsu has a slight seafood odor, but it isn't unpleasant. Review: Delicious - Wonderful product for making home sushi rolls. ## Features - Crispy bits of tempura batter harvested while creating our other goodies that then find new purpose as bonus snacks or livening up dishes in interesting ways. - A delicious snack all on its own – crunchy, savory, and satisfying with a mild flavor perfect alone or suited to just about any seasoning you might want to add. - A great addition to soups (not just ramen), salads, pancakes (makes them fluffier), French fries (chips), and more to add texture, flavor, and depth. - Japanese – true tenkasu made and packaged in Japan where tempura is always done right. This is heritage in snacking form. - Agedama, scraps, bits, dubs, and gribbles are other names used throughout the world for these extra crispy bonus snacks, so don’t be surprised if you’ve never heard of tenkasu. Give them a try anyway. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0B2NWNY38 | | Age Range Description | All Ages | | Best Sellers Rank | #56,601 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ( See Top 100 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ) #5 in Tempura | | Brand | Swashbuckle Snacks | | Brand Name | Swashbuckle Snacks | | Cuisine | Japanese | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 150 Reviews | | Flavor | Squid | | Item Form | Chips | | Item Weight | 10.58 ounces | | Manufacturer | Swashbuckle Snacks | | Number of Items | 1 | | Package Size Name | 10.58 Ounce | | Size | 10.58 Ounce (Pack of 1) | | UPC | 850018081115 | | Unit Count | 10.58 Ounce | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Swashbuckle Snacks - **Flavor:** Squid - **Item Form:** Chips - **Item Weight:** 10.58 Ounces - **Number of Items:** 1 ## Images ![Calamari Tenkasu Tempura Bits 10.58 Ounce (300g), Authentic Japanese Snack by Swashbuckle Snacks, Made in Japan - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71t-VbO0FuL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for making okonomiyaki! *by G***E on April 26, 2025* I bought this for the okonomiyaki party I was having for our family after our trip to Japan. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Delicious *by K***T on March 8, 2026* Wonderful product for making home sushi rolls. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tastes ok *by C***K on January 21, 2024* These are very hard to come by so it's hard to compare. When I put them in my Okonomiyaki, it tasted "ok". I think it tasted better when used as a topping instead. If I had to compare the taste, I'd say it tastes like a shrimp flavored crumbled cracker. Not too thrilled for the price however. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/452657104-calamari-tenkasu-tempura-bits-10-58-ounce-300g-authentic-japanese](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/452657104-calamari-tenkasu-tempura-bits-10-58-ounce-300g-authentic-japanese) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
