Phenomenal trail running shoe for the price, but "falls flat" on the street/blacktop.
First: These are absolutely trail shoes above all else. If you do a lot of street running, look elsewhere.Second: Fantastic shoe. I could not believe the quality for the money I paid for them. Top notch.I run a 10k on the road every day, and after reading numerous reviews on this site and others surrounding these shoes and numerous people who use them for road running, I decided to bite. I am on a budget, and this is a hard time of year to find street shoes for less than a hundred bucks. After coming from a light weight street running shoe, I absolutely cannot recommend these for street running. I know they are a trail running or "multi surface running shoe", but after seeing the sheer volume of users who take to the black top with them I decided to bite. So, why don't I like them for street running, you may ask? Primarily, weight. These are bulky, at least twice the weight of my previous shoe, and the break in period was quite painful for the first week.I took my dogs to some very steep local trails recently (I live near the very hilly finger lakes region of New York) and these shoes are PHENOMENAL trail shoes. I was running top speed through a very narrow, tree, rock, and root ridden trail that curved this way and that with almost every step and felt unstoppable. The grip felt like I had cleats on. Despite the speed, I could turn on a dime, using trees to propel my momentum through the curves, and not feeling a thing beneath my feet despite the various terrain types I was covering (from rocky to slipper needle covered loose dirt).I knocked a star for personal reasons, and really, it's a reason that the shoe wasn't exactly designed for, so I'm not really sure if it's even fair for me to do so. I only did this as many other reported a great road running experience, and I feel they came up short in that regard. As far as trail running goes: are their better shoes out there? Yes. Are you going to find them for anywhere near this price? Absolutely not. If you're on a budget, and run trails, these are your shoe. And lastly, as I forgot to mention above, the fit was perfect.

Mediocre quality
I will start this review by saying that I absolutely love these shoes. I don’t know what it is but the fit and feel on my feet is absolutely perfect. I’ve hiked, ran, and walked almost 1000 miles in the last 12~ months I’ve owned these and was always surprised with how comfortable my feet were. With that being said, they are starting to show their age. The sole is beginning to peel away in some parts and the interior fabric behind the ankle ripped and now foam is protruding and falling out. I went ahead and rebought another pair because I love them so much but I wish the build quality was slightly better. I’ve had other shoes (albeit less comfortable) that have lasted longer without issue

Good for wide, hard-to-please feet
So far the only shoes I've found that are comfortable on my large and wide feet (with narrow ankles).I wear them for working out, walking, and everyday usage. They are good in summer and winter too. Normally I have to go with extra-wide, but with these shoes the normal widths (D) are comfortable – you've just got to wear them a day or two to break them in and then they are GREAT.That's my experience, but I guess everybody's feet are different. Not everybody has wide, hard-to-please feet like mine.

Great so far! Ignore the bad reviews, try for yourself
The media could not be loaded. Initial opinion is great. Looks great. No visible blemishes. Fits great. I'm normally EE width, and standard running shoes are to narrow, but these non xtra wide fit great..These are not running shows is the strictest sense. I was only looking for a good looking, good priced, comfortable casual shoe. I believe I have found them.I read the bad reviews and have come to conclusion the majority of bad ones are from people that expect a $150 shoe for $50 and are mad at the world then use this forum to vent unwarranted frustration. Try them yourself and return if needed. One day shipping and free returns. If you're in a bigger hurry, go to a shoe store first, know your size. They don't charge to try on.If details change I will update.

Developed a hole after 53 easy miles
I have been walking on the road for a few years now. I keep track of how many miles I get out of a shoe, before it needs replaced. These shoes, were my lowest mileage shoes ever! (by 97 miles!) These only lasted a total of 53 miles. Those miles, are gentle, walking on paved roads, in dry weather, always with Darn Tough socks, and alternating shoes every day, so they are never worn on consecutive days. I ended up wearing a small hole in the body of the Right shoe, around the Achilles tendon area. First time I have ever done that. Extremely uncomfortable to walk in after that, and I ended up having to call for a ride home today. The shoes I was alternating with these, were a pair of Sketchers I received as a gift. The memory foam soles were not only more comfortable, they are still going. They were so much more comfortable, that I always ended up scheduling my long mileage days, on the days I was due to wear the Sketchers. They currently have almost 100 miles, and still appear brand new. (These Asics, except for the small hole, also appear new. The exterior held up great)Be careful if you buy these shoes, the quality just isn't there. The worn hole is in a pretty bad spot for pictures, but I did my best in attaching a couple images showing it.This was my first, and last Asics purchase, Ever.

Sehr lange Lieferzeit

Asics always fit
Asics never lets me down, I can blindly order any shoe from them online in my size and they fit, I can't do that with Nike, NB, Adidas, or anyone else I've tried. Seems like Asiscs gets it, a shoe size is based on the finished internal dimensions, not the external cuttings before manufacturing.
