**Q: What can be used it I have 1/4 Hardwood boards over 3/4" subflooring?**
A: The screws need to be screwed down thru the flooring and sub flooring into the floor joists . Use a very small drill to locate joists  . Use straight edge with pencil line after identifying joist and install screws . Use matching wood filler on all screw holes .

**Q: What do you do when it breaks early with some of the screw sticking out of the floor?**
A: Cut it with a dremel tool. Vice grips or hammer will not work.

**Q: How to fix creeking underlayment under glued down vinyl in bathroom**
A: I did exactly that using this product. I used the Softwood (taller) guide. The shorter may have worked but didn't try. The screw broke off using pliers beneath the vinyl flooring. We tapped down the small bump using a small hammer. The squeaks are now gone. The biggest problem will be locating the joists since a stud finder is ineffective on floors due to the sheathing. I am told the stud finders that give you a picture of the area (sonically) work great, but they are several hundred dollars.

**Q: Will this or is there a kit for 1/4: hardwood Boards on 3/4" wood subflooring for repairing squeaks and Cupping?**
A: No - you should use it only standard hardwood tongue and groove flooring. It needs the full thickness of the wood to properly connect to the subfloor and joists.
