These seem to be exactly what I've been looking for, for a long time.
I've had these containers a little over 2 weeks, so this isn't a long-term review, yet. If anything changes I'll update.I have all but one of the containers in use. * Several of these containers get opened and resealed several times a day, every day. A couple have been opened and resealed just a few times since I bought them, and one, my test container filled with uncooked rice, got sealed the day I got them more than 2 weeks ago and it's still holding the vacuum.I live where it's warm and very humid and food goes stale very quickly. I've tried a couple of other container products and neither of them worked this well. (I won't go into details here, but you can check the other reviews.) As long as these continue to work this well, this is exactly what I've been looking for, for a long time.I cut a pear in half, and put one half in one of these, sealed it and put it in the fridge. 3 days later it looked almost as if I'd just cut it in half. It had barely any discoloration. It was still crisp and tasted great. I haven't used them in the freezer yet, but I did microwave some rice from the day before in one. I put some popped popcorn into the bigger container and the next night it was still crisp.Since due to the vacuum, the containers change shape slightly, the lids don't seem to line up perfectly to get it back on byt just setting it squarely on top. The simple solution is to start with a corner. Seat one corner, then push the lid onto the container at the edges all the way around until you're back at the start, and you're all set. It takes a couple of seconds and saves you some frustration. After a bit longer-term testing, I will be buying more - I need them.* One of the valves won't hold the vacuum. Due to the really smart design of these, I swapped the valve with a valve from another lid and attempted to seal them both. The good one still seals in the other lid, and the bad one still doesn't, so I was able to determine the issue was with the valve and not the lid. I contacted that manufacturer, and they immediately sent out another valve and emailed me a tracking #. It'll come next week.Updated: 09-Sep-2018Re: Above. The manufacturer sent me two valves. One is in use and works perfectly, like the rest of them. The other is stored in case I need it.I tested these enough that I've ordered a 2nd set, which are also performing well. These are probably the best thing I've bought in a while.Note to Manufacturer: I don't understand the purpose of the lid latches. They're not needed. They wear out easily (I have one that has split and on the round containers, one that broke off right away). It's not an issue since they're simply not needed - why are they there? My suggestion would be to remove them, or come up with something different if people want to use the containers without the vacuum. These keep their 5-star rating.

fantastic product/lock&lock technology combined with vacuum freshness
i received my order today and it was all i expected. it has the easy handling and security of lock &lock canisters, nice handfeel plastic, not the flimsy storage quality container that a lot of products are made of today, but what i really wanted to know if my zwillig electrical handheld vacuum sealer would work on the container also - and i am glad to report that it does. i know it comes with a manuell sealer and that works great also, but i wanted the easy convenience of an automatic sealer. i have arthritis in my hands and the manuel pump is somewhat difficult for me.the containers are of a good size, actually, i had expected much smaller boxes, so again, this was a nice surprise and the cost is justified. love the product and look forward to seeing other sized containers. what i would like to find would be containers that can store sandwich deli slices, meat or cheese which are basically all sized similar, maybe grouped in pairs of two or three all the same size, this would ensure that food product would stay fresh longer but are still easy storaged in the refrigerator.overall, i can recommend this product - i like it very much

Worth a try
I've been looking for vac seal containers, but I wasn't having much luck. The ones I bought a long time ago are no longer available and the others are too expensive. I figured I try these out, because the price was right. On there own without vacuum sealing they seem durable and decent quality. The only problem is some of the vacuum sealers don't work. For the price there worth a try, but don't be surprised if a few don't keep the vacuum seal. They still seem to seal without needing to vacuum seal, but I bought them hoping to vacuum seal. Not sure how many of them don't seal, but its at least a couple and if that's all, then there worth the price

Lasting Freshness is correct!
I love these. I am diabetic. My biggest problem with eating was my vegetables were going bad before I had the chance to use them. We live in a small village and we do have a mom and pop grocery store with a small selection of vegetables so yes I could go every day and shop there for my veggies. But like I said, a small selection. Supermarkets are 20-25 miles away. So after buying this set I went and shopped veggies. Washed and dried the veggies and choose a container to put them in. That was last week Monday. As you can see in the pics my veggies are still fresh in my fridge. The bottom middle is strawberries. Just washed and patted dry and placed in the container. Still fresh. So yesterday my bowls came, and my canisters are coming by the end of the week. You get a pump with each set so they can be placed in convenient areas to be handy when needed to reseal a container. Don’t have to drag out the ol’ seal a meal pump to reseal the container. I am happy that I am able to eat better. Saving money. I may have to call customer service to replace one seal. When I opened my snap peas there was no suction release so we will see how customer service is and I will update. My one and only gripe is the buckles. I cannot open them with my fingers after the seal is released. My fingers are 74+ years old and don’t like the prying action. So I use a fork handle to pop those babies open. Being careful, of course, not to get that fork up too high into the buckle and touching the silicone gasket. Buy these if you are looking for better food storage. You won’t regret it.

vacuum
after a short few months many lids do not hold vacuum. Would be nice if vacuum plugs were available separately.

Update on my review.
I am SO disappointed. A couple of years ago I purchased this set for a friend. She raved about How fresh it kept items, by pulling out the air on perishables. So I thought I’d buy a set for myself, as I love salads but hate making them every day. I made a huge salad with all of my favorite fixings in the Large container. When I went to suction out the air with the tool, I couldn’t. I tried and tried to pull out the air but I couldn’t budge the tool! I tried over and over again to no avail. I tried the smaller lids with the smaller containers and the air pulled out just fine. So purchasing this set defeats the main reason for my buying it...to use the larger containers. I thought I had my Christmas shopping easily planned out and was going to purchase 4 more sets for friends, but have decided to come up with a different plan. Very disappointed.Updated review: I changed my review from 2 stars to 5. Amazon graciously provided me with a return label to replace this set. I received my 2nd set promptly and all of my containers work properly. Thanks, Amazon! The containers are awesome. Especially for me the big one is most useful. Make a salad and it lasts and is still fresh at day 5!

So So
I knew going in about the customer reviews claiming these containers do not retain the vacuum. I also saw a review complaining how the containers break. What immediately came to mind was that these users could be over-vacuuming to the point of compromising the contour and structural integrity of the containers, causing air to seep in. So I decided to buy them to see for myself. There is some truth to them not retaining the vacuum. I have pumped air out of a container only to find out it has lost all the vacuum later that same day. And yet, I have seen the VERY SAME container retain vacuum for DAYS. This leads me to conclude that while they do work as advertised, the design is not the best because depending on how you put the lid on them, it may or may not leak air in. I'm thinking some gasket-type material around the top rim of the containers would alleviate this problem. Anyway, I make sure I press down the lid firmly before I snap the side latches on all four sides, and then vacuum air out of them; with that kind of caution, they have worked reasonably well. No matter what, I'm sure these containers have prolonged the freshness of scallions and broccoli I put in them, and for that, I am happy.I'm still glad I bought them, and I may even buy another set should the need arise. Only time will tell how truly durable these containers are.

I likem / They work well for me
I like these containers. They fit the bill for what I need. I will say that the air pump recepticle on the lids can be a little finiky sometimes, but overall they really do work well. I can say I haven't had any issues. Once you get the pump going on the smaller lids, and the air is fully sucked out, don't be alarmed if the locks on the edge of the lid doesn't stay close or doesn't catch. I vacume the lids until they cave in a bit and this causes the latches to not catch. But, this doesn't matter. I've had them vacumed and the lid locks not even engauged for days and they held the vacume seal without fail. I also have the rectangular set . So far so good. The containers themselves are real good quality, very thick and sturdy. I have found them easy to clean up also.

Not Worth the Money
Not worth the money. Don’t seal properly. Doesn’t suction out the air as advertised. And one of the small lids broke when clicking onto container. I put cabbage in the larger container and it’s gone brown within 2 days.I would NOT buy this product again.

Good seal
Good product, easy to useKeep the food fresh longer

Excellent!!
Best product I have found to keep veggies, fruits & bread fresher longer. This is the 5th type I have purchased in the last 6 months and this one really works. Worth the price. 👍👍

Tiny size: misleading pictures
Buy it if you’re a fan of miniature containers. The pictures are misleading and the containers can barely fit one chopped cucumber. Also, 9 pieces is not 9 containers: the lid is counted as 1 piece. So it’s 4 tiny containers in total for 4 tiny cucumbers.
