It would not accept the male cord. I tried multiple times. Then, the plastic holding the port in place broke.I tried to open this up and glue the port back in place. (like another reviewer). While I had the charger open I plugged the cord into the port. It would only click in with an extreme amount of force. This means that the port is a defective part, IMO. Then I tried to remove the cord. I could not do it! In the course of trying to pull the cord out the wires pulled out of the port. Now it is truly kaput.To SNAPFON: I suggest using a port that accepts microUSB cords in the future (like the one you use in the phone!) and, if that is too much to ask, then use more than a 1/64" piece of cheap plastic to hold the thing in place. ### ⭐⭐ Good product idea but quaity questionable *by A***T on May 12, 2014* This is really useful for my grandmother of 85 years old. For seniors like her, using a charge cradle like this is significantly less of a headache than messing with the tiny USB plug.---------------The product idea is great but after a few weeks of usage, I find the functional quality is bad. Specifically, the female connector on the stand is already loose such that the charging wire esily comes loose. Sometimes, the wire seems to be connected but the contact is bad so the phone is not charged. For my mother, a senior, reliability of the product is most important. I have to downgrade my previous 5-star rating to 2-star. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Bought this for my mother inlaw. Broke in first month. *by D***S on April 3, 2014* I'll still give in an OK rating as I can't be sure if it is the quality of the product, or if it something she did. I will have to order another one now.....no choice as she has a problem plugging the micro USB into the phone itself, so she needs the cradle. Like others, the USB connector on back is very loose/broken, but that is not the real problem. One of the spring loaded pins that makes the connection between the cradle and phone broke off or came apart. I cannot truly say if it is a cheap spring loaded pin, or if it was the way she pulled the phone out of the cradle.
