Did not work.
At first, it ran slow making a squeaking noise and got warm. I let it cool for a few minutes and plugged it in again. Then the lead wires caught fire. It felt like the hub was rubbing.

powerful fan
Beware of fake fans that advertise a lot of CFM but this one is a winner. If you're looking for a fan that blows a lot of air, this is the one for you! Be careful with Tha fan blades!, it spins really fast!

Delta fans are built as sturdy as they look
Bought 3 of these to build a custom laptop cooling pad. All 3 provided adequate airflow even with a somewhat restrictive filter installed, which is to be expected of such a high-power 12V fan. Delta fans are built as sturdy as they look, and I think the fans themselves might last longer than the laptop.Needless to say AFB1212VHE is incredibly loud. All 3 running at max speed together measured over 60 dB from about 1 m away. Luckily the 2-wire models' PCB do in fact have the wire connection for fan speed readout and PWM control. These 2 connections are located next to the + and - terminal in the order of + - PWM TACH, and a bit of rotary tool-cutting is required to get adequate clearance for soldering wires to the pads (note: plastic dust will cause rattling if they get into the bearing). With PWM control, fan speed was easily reigned in to balance noise against air flow. Delta also made it easy to control these fans as PWM signal with frequency between 30Hz - 30kHz, input high b/w 2.8V and 20V, input low b/w 0V and 0.4V, is capable of controlling fan speed. In other words, something like the Uno can change the speed with analogWrite.
