Does it glide on easily or do you have to press hard like a regular pencil for it to show up ?

It glides really smoothly, it's very creamy. Then the brush at the end smooths everything out, even if it goes on too heavily it's always really balanced. I keep buying this over and over, I love it and haven't found anything that works as good as this crayon

Yes & it fills it on without appearing to be a pencil. great product

The pencil glides on very easy. The color for blondes was red. That is the only reason I did not like it.
