I always dread draining the gas from my snow blower and put it off, often needing additional costly service because of it. That will no longer be an issue for me now that I purchased this siphon. It's easy to use, but watch the videos because the instruction booklet does not really make that much sense. Also, you don't need the brass fitting, so leave that to the side. Also, when I had a fish tank I struggled with the much more expensive but low quality and high price siphons they sell in aquarium supplies but this one would make cleaning the gravel a breeze as long as you put a screen at the end of the hose that will be cleaning the gravel.

My motorcycle had been sitting in my garage for almost 2 years, so I needed to swap out the old gas for new before I could get it ready to ride again. This pump was super easy to put together; the instructions had photos and were very clear. The length of the tubing was perfect and more than enough to reach between my motorcycle and the gas can on the ground. Once the pump was in the gas tank, I just had to squeeze the bulb about 5 times, and the gas started flowing quickly through the tube into the can. It was very easy to use. I would definitely recommend it if you have a small gas tank that needs to be drained. The only issue I had, which is why I removed one star, was that the clip at the end of the tube that was supposed to help it hold onto the gas can was not very good, so when the gas started flowing into the tube it would not stay inside the can due to the pressure of the gas coming out. I could not get the clip to stay as hard as I tried, so I ended up holding the tube inside the can instead. Not a big deal for me, though, since I was not draining a large tank. I would still happily purchase this again based on how well it worked otherwise!

First of all, the quality of the product is excellent, includes easy photo instructions too; it took me 5 minutes to assemble. The size of the siphon is good, too. The HASA liquid chlorine feeder I have has to be cleaned out periodically of salt that falls out of solution and deposits. Unfortunately, there is no drain plug on this model, which would have been a good idea, but it never leaks either. I was using my old aquarium vacuum to drain the water. It uses the shipon pump principle too, but it wasn't very efficient and always had to go check on it and give more pumpts to start it back up until the job was done. Well, it was cheaply made but it cost me a bundle (pet supplies). So I was on the hunt to find something on Amazon that I could use when I ran across this simple design, like my other one but made way better and for a third of the price; now that makes me happy given present times. I went outside to make a video of it siphoning, and it was already done, but I took a video anyway so you get the idea how this product has multi-purpose uses. I still have the vacuum attachment for the aquarium. I think I can attach to this pump and use it for that purpose too.

I would definitely recommend this product. It's a simple, inexpensive and efficient solution for siphoning liquid. Easy to use. I siphoned gas from my portable generator to gas can within minutes of receiving the product today. Performs exactly as described.

This was a great purchase although when the water got low it wouldn’t flow as good as when it was higher. But it emptied a hot tub in a few hours with just a few good pumps. Where the electric pump I bought first stop running with in 30 minutes.

It might be OK for small tanks like Lawn mowers etc... but to remove the fuel from a tank of a Corvette it just doesn't have the suction to get going. I gave up. Not worth the time.

It worked for me once I figured it out. The instructions are not very clear either in the information provided in the package or the clumsy way it's worded (obviously translated from another language). I had never siphoned anything, so better instructions would have been appreciated. Coming back to this page and reading the reviews plugged the information holes left by the written instructions in the pack. Put the long hose on the end of the hand pump ball with the arrow pointed AWAY from it. This will be the hose that's going into the tank being siphoned. Put the shorter hose on the end of the pump ball with the arrow pointing TOWARD it. This will be the hose going into the receiving container. Put two hose clips on each end of the pump ball. The brass-looking fitting is a weight that supposedly helps keep the fuel tank end of the hose submerged, but it really doesn't help much. If desired, put it on the end of the hose going into the tank being siphoned. Place the receiving container at a lower level than the tank being emptied. My seven gallon tank had less than a couple of gallons in it so the gas level was all the way at the bottom. Luckily I was able to shine a flashlight down into the tank and somewhat see the gas level and sometimes the brass tip of the hose, otherwise it might have been an exercise in futility in getting it submerged and keeping it that way. At first I had trouble getting it to draw gas into the line because the hose in the tank was curling up and the end wasn't staying submerged in spite of the brass weight, which isn't really heavy enough to do the job. Once I got the tip to stay submerged, the siphon worked well. It's worth the low price. Minus one star for the instructions.

The hose quality is weak, delivered on time

No lo he usado aún dado que adquirí otro al mismo tiempo. La calidad excelente y para su función se nota es muy buena pero me hubiese gustado que fuese un poco más grande la bomba, fuera de ahí se ve que pueda cumplir su objetivo pero con un poco más de esfuerzo.

used this to tale out old gas from my atv… works perfect

Worked well, placed one hose in dipstick hole and syphoned oil overfill from engine. Takes a bit to fill the hose but the oil started to pump out. Oil overfill light now gone from dash.

Product is very good. It works very efficiently. It is meant for fuel but i use it to drain excess water from my balcony garden area. One less star is only for the faulty product and used product delivered on my 2nd order. My mistake that I didn't check it and by the time I did, the window had closed. My 1st order still works perfect even after 2 years.
