No, that's not an electrical rack and pinion system for the 2012 Ford Escape. I bought this for my 2010 Ford Escape. A quick tip, when purchasing this kind of assembly, one sholud also purchase the tie-rod ends, for like it might not suit the ones on your car.

It did fit on my 2010 Ford Escape 2.5l XLT, but in my case the old outer tie rod ends where not compatible with this assembly's inner tie rod ends. I had to use the old tie rod ends set. So my advice is, buy compatible outer tie rod ends along with this Detroit Axle Complete Power Steering Rack and Pinion assembly.

The inner tie rods didn’t fit in my car Ford Escape Hybrid 2011. For my car needed thiker tie rods but this product made with thinner tie rods.
