I bought this to house the "granny charger" for my MG5 EV if I have to use it outside. Normally the car would be in my garage but I may want to use it at another premises where I cannot get it under cover. I know the charger itself is IP67 rated, higher than the box itself, but I wanted the peace of mind of housing it in an extra water resistant box. The extra thick cables of the charger just about fit in the seals and, with support under the charger to lift it it line with the seals at each end rather than on one side, I can run the cable end to end without kinking (See photos). I bought a version with a transparent lid so I could still see the LED lights on the charger when it is in operation.When not plugged in the charger and lead all fit in the box for transportation - see photos.It's simple to use and the fasteners all right give confidence that everything will stay where it should and keep any rain or moisture off the charger.I will pop a WiFi thermometer and hygrometer in the box when I'm using it to warn me if it gets too warm or moist.I've not actually used it yet but cannot foresee a problem.

Very happy with this box. I can see some reviews that are saying it leaks but that hasn’t been my experience. Installed in October, now nearly April and still going strong with no signs at all of leakage. Making sure all the seals are in the right place is tricky at first but you soon get used to it. It’s got lots of space, lots of options for cables so personally no issues with design or functionality. Happy buyer. 😊👍

used this for housing multi point plug socket extension for Xmas lights outside, fully waterproof, easy to open and close. easy to wall mount.could do with being a little taller to allow for the timer plugs which seem to be being used more often with Christmas lights.

Until today, I have been rather shocked at the poor quality and sizing of most outdoor electrical boxes.Normally they are overpriced and just ridiculously hard to run cables in and out of due to poor design. In addition, you struggle with many lighting plugs due to height.At last, I have found a box that actually meets my needs. It is simple to use, simple to secure, simple to manage cabling.Quality item at a great price. Highly recommended and is the solution I have been looking for.

Good sized box good construction easy to use hasn’t been in rain yet but looks to do the job

This box is absolutely worth every penny. You can use up to 6 plugs in it. Water tight, very strong and a good choice of colours. There is nothing more to say except that if you need a strong box to put your plugs in, this is the one. I would most definitely recommend it. No need to look any further.

Various distant powered outdoor electric fencing battery floating charger and LED lighting. Keeps 230ac to 13.8 PSU AND other stuff dry. Do not put a lot of heat in it 10 or 15W dissipation is OK. It is water tight so little ventilation.

It’s good enough but not amazing, can’t be locked and can be fiddly to line up when cables are in place
