Pro vs regular bird feeder?whats the difference

My understanding is the Pro has small cups around the bottom of the feeder for water. I got the regular version and am very happy with it; the birds love it! And the solar feature is beautiful at night.

can you only fill half way ?

You can fill all the way; however, I vaguely remember the instructions in the box saying to only fill half way. I believe it's because you won't get as much light with the seeds all the way to the top. It gives off a really nice light.

Does the top affix securely ? Does the small seed fall out through the metal mesh? Thank You

The top slides up the chain for refilling and too much small seed does fall through. If you filled it up you wouldn’t see any light. It is cool empty and lit up. I think I’m going to use it as a decoration and buy another $6 feeder from Walmart. I used to have a better solar feeder with lights shining down on the rim of the feeder. Can’t find it now.

is there no perching room?
