You need to read the instructions, then read the instructions again, then read again during each part of the process to reinforce. This will save you any tears. I did not have the shampoos they suggest, I just used a cleansing shampoo that I had. Also, make sure you set aside the amount of time you need.I have years of dyed shoulder length hair and was able to do 2 treatments. I have naturally very dry hair and this caused zero damage, even doing the 2 treatments back-to-back. In recent years, I have bleached my hair and lived with pink, lavender, mauve and magenta shades... non-stop. My hair, naturally was dark brown with heavy red and gold undertones... and now with with a ton of grey, silver and white.I set my expectations realistically... this was going to strip my hair back to that 'orange' colour. My expectations were met and I was more than fine with that. Some of these reviews, people are being unrealistic and blaming the product. It's not them, it's you.After doing the strand test with bottle 3, you MUST do this, it literally take 2-3minutes I made the decision to do the process again (you can do this as many times as you want, as long as you have the product). My expectation was that it would clean up the orange a bit but it would still be orange. My expectations were met. You can re-dye it after 40 minutes. I chose to wait a day.Definitely purchasing again. I am prepping myself for diving into greys, silvers and white hair.
