Caffè Borbone Miscela Oro Espresso Pods Compatible with Nespresso Original Machines, Dark Roast Gold Blend, 100 Count Espresso Coffee Pods

OK. we are just slightly prejudiced to this coffee. For 2 reasons. First, we brought these capsules back from Italy and tried differing intensities but the Miscela Oro is our favorite. Second, it's so creamy that there is no need for froth if you like your coffee black. This coffee is not too bitter but sufficient intensity, a truly smooth dark roast. Add a little Sambuca to it and you have true Italian perfection. We have friends stop by just for the coffee!!

On a recent cruise, one of the Italian Engineering Officers told us in no uncertain terms that Borbone espresso was the best. We had never heard of Borbone, but fortunately Amazon had. We have to concede that the Gold Blend flavor is excellent. Other reviewers have had trouble with the capsules. We have found that if we press the Espresso button on our machine, then the coffee flows out well. If we push the Lungo button, the coffee stream slows to a dribble once the machine has produced a normal shot of espresso. These capsules are plastic, not aluminum, and they are slightly shorter than an aluminum capsule. Our DeLonghi Essenza Mini machine works fine with the shorter Borbone capsules. Perhaps some machines do not work as well with shorter capsules. We have used quite a few of these capsules, but if we have trouble with them in the future, then I will update this review. Each of these capsules is packaged in a sealed bag to keep them fresh because these capsules appear to have some openings on the plastic end. Aluminum capsules do not need to be individually packaged because they are completely sealed. I prefer the aluminum capsules because they can be recycled, but these capsules do cost less and make very good espresso shots. (Lungo labeled capsules make the best Lungos.) I was tempted to take off a star because these are not aluminum, but they are a high quality product and the coffee is excellent so I felt they deserved 5 stars.

Smooth taste and flavor.

The Gold blend is always the best. Very balance and great value for money compared to the likes of Nespresso, Peets, and Starbucks.

Strong but not acid

Comes in individual vacuum sealed packages. The espresso flavor is strong. It works well with my Nespresso machine (original). Great price for then amount of pods you get.

These are horrible. They taste incredibly burnt and like with all plastic capsules I’ve used, it takes 2-3 times as long to pull a shot from my machine. I was really hoping that the price point wouldn’t mean a lesser coffee experience, especially since there were decent reviews on it. I was wrong, and I’m not even that much of a coffee snob. I can tolerate a good deal, but this one is by far the worst capsule I’ve ever used. Wish I could return it, but I can’t. So I’ll be giving them away.

Ich bestelle diese Kapseln jetzt schon zum wiederholten Male und bin absolut zufrieden. Bei der Gold-Mischung von Caffè Borbone passt einfach wie immer alles: Die Kapseln laufen perfekt durch die Maschine und der Kaffee hat nach wie vor einen hervorragenden, vollmundigen Geschmack. Für mich die beste Sorte, bleibt definitiv mein Favorit! 5 Sterne!

Me encanta! Llegaron a tiempo y en buen estado. Conocía la marca por una tienda física en Valencia. Es la segunda vez que lo compro y es clásico italiano. Compatible con Nespresso pero es cierto que a veces no acaba de salir todo el producto. Está muy bueno, no necesita ni azúcar 💯 Recomendable
