These LED "smart" TV lights are great! So many colors to choose from. Some are brighter than others, obviously. Using the free Govee Home app on my phone was easy & so was the initial Bluetooth/Wi-Fi setup. They have all the solid colors you could want, plus a bunch of cool "scene" settings that change colors. Some are more gradual fading in & out, while some are abrupt flashes. The flashing ones are less useful, IMHO, especially behind my TV. The flashing ones could definitely induce a seizure, be careful. I wish there were more gradual ones that fade between colors. You can select 5 separate zones on each stick & make them each different colors, if you choose (they all kind of blend together on the wall, though). I don't recommend using the adhesive unless you never want to remove them. I set them on the TV stand behind my TV, facing the wall. No need for adhesive.**Don't listen to the people saying you have to pay to use the app. I have no idea what they're talking about. The Android app is free & works great. (I have not tried to link these to Alexa for voice commands, nor have I tried the Apple version of the app.) I have 4 Govee products & control them all from the same app.

Right off the bat, these light bars are vibrant, colorful, and have a great variety of different colors and patterns. However, I used them for a little bit of a different purpose than what they were created for...I had previously purchased the TV backlight strips from Govee, and wanted to find lighting for my shelves within the Govee ecosystem. Traditional light strips wouldn't really work unless I spliced them, which I wanted to avoid. Enter these light bars. I bought 2 sets of them, and thanks to the (quite strong) mounting options, was able to mount and angle these lights downwards to create a really cool effect over my displays.I wasn't sure how well it was going to work, but the end results speak for themselves. It looks terrific when used in this role. The cables are very long and manageable too, I was able to run them down the support beams of the shelves with some mounting clips without issue.The only negative comes down to the app itself. It's a bit overwhelming and confusing to use at first, but once you get the basic functions figured out, there's little issue. Still, I feel the user experience could be improved on the app. For example, I had to go in and create my own shortcut function to turn on all my lights at once, then make a separate one to turn them all off at once, as opposed to there being a single master on/off button in the app. It's small things that can make the app tedious to work with.Regardless, I feel that overall Govee continuous to knock it out of the park. The lights are bright, customizable, and add a ton of ambience to the room. I hope Govee continues to expand on their different room lighting options and keep the level of quality they are putting out now.

I really liked these TV bars and they provide a solid amount of light cast off the wall. I have these behind my couch and they go perfectly on the runner console I have behind the sofa. I originally had them under my tv cabinet but they give off so much light that it was a waste to cover them up so moving them to an area where they had more exposure got the most value of it. My one issue with these and why I can't give them five stars is that the orange and warmer light tones don't match with the other govee lamp products and their lighting codes. The same warm light at 2200k or whatever the value is appears more yellow than soft white as it does on other govee lights. I am able to get around this by making the light orange in the settings and that matches the warm light better, but it makes it hard to just give my home assistants the command to change them all to candlelight for instance. Still happy with these and way cheaper than a phillips hue alternative. I would say these are 70-80% as good as a Phillips hue product but the price makes it way more competitive since you can buy a few of these lights for the same cost as one hue product, and depending on where you're using the lighting, the real benefit of one over the other is just keeping the products the same family/line so you can do home automation more easily. If you don't care about home automation and plan to use the colors statically, it you can probably get something even more basic than govee, but if you want the best color tones and a somewhat seamless interface across all your lights, you get what you pay for with hue products. This is a great middle ground though and if you stick with all govee it makes it just as usable for home automation as hue products. I just wouldn't mix and match.

I put these behind my living room TV to brighten up the room and add ambience. It works great. Nice colors and not distracting.

Love these light bars. They really add a neat effect to my viewing space. Easy to set up on the app too. In my photo, you can see the lighting wraps around my entire wall. This is a bonus that I didn’t expect. The only slight negative is the cord length. I went to the max with my placement. If I had to go any further apart I could not have made it work.
