Not very big but ok if like me you don't have a lot of counter top space. Negative you more or less have to have it on full if you want your bread properly toasted so its a bit slow. BUT ..... *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 1 April 2024* This is a nice looking toaster and it does produce really nice toast. The controls are easy to use and there is a clear moulded line on the temperature control so you can easily see where it's set. The two toasting slots are very wide and can accomodate most things you would want to toast ...... BUT ..... and here's the bad bit - whilst the toasting slots are very wide they are NOT long enough to accomodate a standard white sliced loaf slice of the most common brands on sale in the UK. i.e. Warburtons Toastie, supermarket own brands etc. You will need to cut about 1/4" of each slice to get it to fit into the length. I cannot believe that someone at Russell Hobbs didn't take the time or have the forethought to take the most common sliced loaves and try them for size. As it is this is a constant niggle, so we will be buying another toaster with longer slots like our old one that packed up after 5 years, and this one will be relegated to the status of a, "spare". But really this shouldn't have happened and it's ruined the use of the toaster. But if you can up with the aggravation of cutting of a piece of each slice before you put it in the toaster then it's great. It does accept granary slices and some brown bread as they tend to be smaller overall.
