Set up was not difficult if you follow the directions step by step.. Opening battery compartment took a bit of persistence unscrewing the screws more than one would expect, but was quite doable. App was easy to download to my phone and use. Unit linked up my home’s Wi-Fi quite easily. Been in place for over a week now. No complaints.

Setup was super fast. Put underneath our bathroom sink after we had a small leak that damaged the wood. Now I will get a notification on my phone if it ever happens again, really smart solution!

Called support and they had no idea what I was talking about.This my 2nd one of these devices. The 2 batteries that came with this one had clear plastic cover surrounding them. Installed the batteries as shipped and the device did not work. Wasted 1 hour testing their batteries then installing my own new batteries. only to discover their batteries were good, just covered in thin plastic.Just have a Phillips head screw driver to install the battery.

This leak detector is easy to set up and put into service. Most importantly, it interfaces directly to you home WiFi, and doesn't require any additional hub. It notifies you anywhere in the world and identifies where it is when it detects a leak. Much better than the other leak detectors I've tried.

Very disappointed. Expected more from the Kidde brand. Followed instructions carefully and tried to connect to Wi-Fi for over an hour. Kept getting same error message “cannot connect to Bluetooth“ - But when I checked Bluetooth settings in my iPhone, there is the Kidde water leak detector plain as day! Very frustrating, defeats my main purpose for having this device. Expected better quality from Kidde. Returned it.

Went through three leak detectors before I found one that was easy enough to set and didn’t require buying a hub in addition to it.BUT IT!

My sump pump failed and this alerted me in time before the water got to the finished portion of the basement. Its loud and the app alerts through do not disturb on my phone. Its very easy to use and a great price

I bought two of these. They connected easily to my wifi, and do detect water and beep/alert to my phone - so they fulfill their primary purpose. But one of the two fell off the wifi network about 3 months after purchase and I wasn’t able to get it reconnected. The other also fell off - I suspect we had a brief power loss/wifi restart - but was easy to reconnect. I ultimately had to replace the offline one. I did get another one of these to replace it - haven’t found anything better for the purpose.

If you live in Saudi Arabia , do not order this product. The app required to run it is not available in Google play or any other online source for those who live in KSA.

I am very upset as it has not been mentined that the all is not working in Australia.Very disappointed and am gonna return in tomorrow!
