So, I've read the reviews and am quite disappointing with the real thing. While these nuts are quite hot, they're not really all that. Firstly they taste quite nice but don't really taste like habanero. Not too bothered about that though. While we're on the subject of taste, the spice doesn't seem very obvious at first but then after a while it starts to build and and you feel it. The thing I don't really like about this product is that while it is quite hot, I expected it to be much much more spicy. I've bought a few spicy peanuts before and this doesn't even clock the top 3 (I'm not going to mention which ones i bought since that could be seen as advertising and could reduce the credibility of this review). I'm not even a huge chilli head, I just quite like spicy food. If you can handle your spice well and want something to make you sweat then don't go for these. If you want something that tastes nice thats still spicy but not crazy than these would be a pretty good choice.

Not spicy at all, I wasn’t impressed! A tiny tin for an extortionate price too, these were more like Dry Roasted than anything’s else in my opinion.

I brought these for my other half at Christmas and he said they were sooo good and now wants them for every christmas and birthday.

Also lecker sind sie, keine Frage. Aber für den Preis und bei dem Namen habe ich mir ein wirklich scharfes Erlebnis erhofft. Das ist leider nicht der Fall gewesen. Der Honig und Gewürzgeschmack harmoniert allerdings gut. Sie sind nicht klebrig oder übermäßig fettig. Schön knackig und passten auch gut als Topping für ein asiatisches Gericht. Aber aufgrund des Preises gebe ich nur drei Sterne. Im Supermarkt würde man für die gleich Anzahl der Nüsse nicht 1/5 zahlen, auch wenn diese dann nicht so lecker sind. Ich würde mich über ein echtes Habanero Erlebnis sehr freuen, eines was dem Namen alle Ehre macht.

Update after finishing my first tin: they grew on me a lot; so much so that I added them to my subscription orders. I do still think some other reviews underplayed the heat, however it is something you get used to after a couple snack sittings (and as you do, the honey taste becomes more noticeable.) Whether you're actively seeking out a hot snack, or (like me) you enjoy some spice but aren't sure you can take the heat of these... I recommend giving them a shot. If they're a bit unenjoyably painful at first but you don't absolutely hate them, just keep trying a few at a time and you might find they grow on you, too. --- Initial review: these are pretty good, and I think they live up to their branding... That is to say that I got them expecting that they'd only be moderately spicy based on other reviews, and as someone who can take the heat but doesn't typically seek it out, I don't think these could be reasonably made much spicier while remaining enjoyable to anyone but the masticating masochist. All told, I enjoy them as a novelty-seeking snack. HOT peanut is absolutely the primary flavor, with notes of salt and then some sweetness, and the heat definitely builds (I had tears on my face as I wrote this. 😂) Knowing that they are indeed meant to be quite hot, my sole gripe is that I wish that the sweetness was more prominent.
