Well made and easy to use.
Worked great fro crushing the pills I need to feed to my dog each day. Easy to wipe clean. No need to stick in a dishwasher which many people said was a problem on many mortars because the glued on bases would come off. Don't know about this one but great for my purposes.

Nice to find a flat bottom!
This is one of the rare mortar & pestle sets with a FLAT surface to crush things, which can be very helpful. Also VERY well made, and a good price. Very happy with this buy.

Excellent, medium weight mortar and pestle
This is a very nice stainless steel mortar and pestal. The only improvements I could say that it could use is to possibly be a little bit heavier.Obviously, since It is stainless steel it does not work in the same manner as a ceramic or stone product

the rubber gasket was already broken when I opened it this morning other than that it is well made.

The plastic base wasnt attached to the mortar
The steel portion seems solid, but the plastic base fell off as soon as I pulled it out of the package, revealing sharp edges and uncleaned/unfinished metal. I dont see any evidence that it was ever actually glued on, and only sits loosely on the bottom.

Imparts metallic flavor
I question what type of stainless steel this is made of (e.g., 18/10, 18/8, etc.), as it imparts a metallic flavor, especially if you put anything warm/hot into it.
