It looks like this set was improved upon from its original release, as others who reviewed this showed a broken case. I must say, this case is pretty sold. It's not aluminum, and doesn't feel as nice or durable... however, this case feels pretty solid. It easily supports the weight of the chips and shows no signs of give or that it might buckle under their weight. It latches/locks easily and when closed, I can safely say there is no fear of it coming open. This case will definitely protect your poker set, though if you want something more secure (ex: locks) or a stronger and more durable material (ex: aluminum/metal/wood), then I would recommend eventually upgrading to a better case. However, for everyday use this will more that suffice with no problems. I must stress, that older reviews showed a broken and poorly made case. I was initially a little concerned about this but the page stated they redesigned the case to be stronger and durable, and can vouch for that statement.Inside the case you get five red plastic die. They are by no means expensive, but I have felt far cheaper dice before. Their quality are average, and nothing good or bad to say about them other than they're average dice of decent quality. It also gives a dealer button. Standard plastic button, average quality. It also comes with two decks of Motor Brand "High Quality" playing cards. After shuffling them and testing them in many hands for a while, I can say they are also of average quality. Generic playing cards that feel less polished than Bicycle, but not poor quality. Personally, I bought two replacement Bicycle decks for this coming soon (Sea King) to provide a better look and feel to my games.Finally, the main component of this set, are the chips. These are some of the nicest chips I have ever used. I've played with a variety of chips, from cheap plastic to nice clay chips. These are some I would consider to be nice, weighty clay chips. Most casino's use about 10.5-11.5g chips so these are a little heavier, but then I prefer the chips heavier. They are indeed clay, with the metal weight in the center finely branded and exposed, adding a premium look and feel to these clay chips. I had an older set of generic 11.5g clay chips which were alright, but I love the premium look and feel of these. They make a very satisfying clank as they drop one atop the other, and feel great with the extra weight. They are exactly what I want in chips, as they are also numbered but without currency type listed. So you can use them for any game, any region, etc... For example, when playing poker we use them as dollars, but when using these chips to play sabacc (star wars poker - very fun and different) we can use them as credits. Great for anything, and the satisfaction when using them have to be felt first hand.Now, as for recommending this set, it's a bit of a mix. So, if you are like me and needed a new complete poker set and wanted some really nice quality chips to get going with, then this will be what you need. The cards and die are good enough quality to enjoy many games before needing to be replaced (unless your like me and just prefer upgrading the cards right away for a better set). Furthermore, having this set of 500 chips will allow you to enjoy larger games with multiple people without needing anything else and offers all you need for great fun with excellent quality chips. On the other hand, if you already have good quality cards and die, I would really just recommend getting an empty case and buying these chips individually (as they can be bought standalone and not just as a part of this set), for a better quality portable poker experience.In the end, I really cannot overstate my satisfaction for these chips. They are definitely premium feeling and will give a distinct look and feel to your game the sets it a part from others, and will be most satisfying to play with when enjoying games with friends, family, or even some in house gambling.This mini-casino in a box is everything you need and definitely well worth it for the chips alone over cheaper alternatives with better cases. I give this product five stars, and an 8.5 out of 10 only because the case - while sturdy and durable - would be better if metal and had a key lock.

The poker chips look as shown in the pictures. The case is very nice and it feels very solid. The poker chips have a nice weight to them and the sound is very satisfying.

This is a second review. First review very positive, however after using the chips in artificial light I found that distinguishing the blue from the green chips is difficult.

The case holds everything together snuggly and the chips are very good quality.

The Case isn’t great but passable. (Never planned on using it) I bought a 1000pc acrylic carrier from amazon and customized it.I also bought more individual chips from a different site.Cards are usable but I prefer the copag pvc that you can find here on amazon if you play a lot.(never planned on using the cards that came with the set)I lastly never planned on using the dice but they seem ok.

Read several reviews on several sets of chips, this set was one of the better ones. I haven't used these yet, but here's the initial look.The chips are fairly nice, good weight. Stickers seem to be centered, values are not cheesy or over done; possibly a tad small. They seem clean and uniform. Counts of each were accurate.Dice are nothing special and not why I bought the set. Playing cards are much like the dice; usable, nothing special, not why I bought the set.And now for the case, which seems to be a subject of many of these reviews and often the piece that ruins things. First off, the chips are quite heavy when all lumped together and containing them is a lot to ask of any case. This one is barely up to the task. Many have commented on their cases being damaged or dented with broken handles, clasps or liners. Mine arrived in perfect condition, encased in inch thick foam, then inside a low grade cardboard box which seems to have been bounced around a little in the journey. The case is nice looking, but I don't trust the clasps to hold it shut, nor would I grab it by the handle and hustle off. If you're thinking about traveling from house to house, carrying this set everywhere, it's probably not going to last, no matter how much you baby it. Eventually, you'll be collecting poker chips off the floor (our worse, off your driveway in the dark, in the rain - because that's when these things happen), hoping you found them all. Plan on this case living within you home, taking the occasional trip, while you carry it like a football (tucked under your arm, holding it shut, with a hand underneath). Don't let it bounce around the truck of your car, you will be sorry.Overall, fairly nice. If you're looking to travel with it, check out some of the other cases here on Amazon; you're going to need it.

Shipper must have rectified shipping issues. This case (in perfect condition), was protected by styrofoam inside of a fitted box that was also inside of a bigger box. All pieces are well packaged and complete and I must say, these chips are VERY nice!!! Chip weight feels great and chips are not slippery; they feel great in the hands. If needed, I’d order another set. The case does seem a little light for the entire weight of the chips, but last I checked, we don’t throw cases in the middle of the pot to bet.
