How many bags will last me a week of feeding?** A: Very little as it only comes in 16 oz's. so maybe a couple days. **Q: How many meals per bag for a 10 pound dog?** A: Based on the recommended serving of 3/4 cup for a 10 pound dog, a 16 oz. pack should yield about 11 servings. 3/4 cup of this food weighs approximately 1.4 oz. Divide 16 oz. by 1.4 oz. = 11.4 servings. **Q: How long will this keep fresh in bag?** A: As long as not opened months **Q: Why are preservatives added to this product when he specifically states preservatives are harmful?** A: The preservatives he uses are “Mixed Tocopherols” which are NATURAL preservatives derived from Vitamin E. He uses these instead of preservatives that harm pets, such as Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT), beta hydroxy acids (BHA), and propylene glycol. He says these such preservatives are the number one destroyer of dog health. If interested, the 2nd is fillers and grains in dogs’ food such as corn, corn gluten, soy, soy bean oil, wheat, white rice, barley, flour, and oatmeal (btw, the good grains are brown rice and quinoa). The 3rd destroyer is meat byproducts (slaughterhouse waste such as beaks, horns, tails, feet, undeveloped eggs, even pieces of tumors or intestines with likely fecal matter, etc) and “meat meal” or “meat and bone meal” which can be roadkill, dead livestock or other dead animals. Yeah, it’s really THAT bad…pet food is completely unregulated in America. There are “standards” set but they aren’t enforced at all. I’ve done a lot of research after losing a pet and wanting my next to live longer. The dog diet this vet practices and promotes really checks out, but it’s much more expensive if you try to buy all the food yourself, though Dr. Marty does give you all the info for the proper raw food diet for free in his video if anyone would want to try. He says he made this food to make the diet more affordable, and even as a topping over other food, it really will increase the health and longevity of your dog. Especially since the vitamins and minerals in most commercial dog food can’t even be absorbed by your dog (they cook out all that good stuff found in the raw protein then spray on synthetic vitamins your dog can’t absorb; they do it to visually meet the standards, but it does nothing good for your dog). By the way, I saw another answer from someone else here say: “ Exactly that’s why I got my money back and made with livers, that’s the filtering system for all bodies why would I feed my dog a liver. I’m not wasting my money to expensive for crap” The reason you feed a dog liver is that organ meat, especially certain animal livers found in this food, is THE very best meat you can feed your dog. It’s more densely packed with essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals your dog needs than any other protein, and the dogs love eating it, believe me. Your dog will be a lot healthier, happier and live longer if they eat it regularly, especially in conjunction with Omega 3s and Prebiotics that feed Probiotics (the healthy bacteria in the gut that promote all sorts of good health; the prebiotics thus help those probiotics thrive). Omega 3s and Prebiotics are both also found in abundance in this food along with the human quality meat and organ meat. Your dog may survive on other dog food, but he’ll be a lot healthier, happier and live much longer if you provide him with a diet rich in the ingredients found in this food.
