Very basic information here for surgery.

If you're studying for shelfs or boards do NOT buy this book. The info is so basic spend a week on a sicu service and you'll learn more than what this book can teach you. Absolutely not worth buying

This was a wonderful resource during a surgical rotation while in medical school. it's comprehensive but not too detailed, perfect for studying for the shelf. has some good practice questions and is a good size to keep in a scrub or white coat pocket to review in between cases

Book is concise but has a lot of high-yield information that helped me prepare for rounds, including organizing relevant patient information so I feel ready for the residents' and attending's questions. Also a good reference when studying for the shelf exam. It is not a 1000 page textbook so it won't have everything to study for, but it will highlight the pertinent study topics without going into the weeds of pathophysiology-- highly recommend to pair with other study resources like UWorld or Anki for the most effective review.
